Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
I have stepped foot on the hamster wheel, constantly running, keeping things in motion—the act of creation and destruction. In my case, my online persona. Just now, I discovered this blogging site, on my umpteenth attempt to write some sorry excuse of a blog which I will be deleting once again, just like the others I…
I finally jumped onto the startup bandwagon towards the end of 2021 at the time when offices were sending emails to their employees about opening up. It occurred to me then that if I did not do this, then the only choice left to me would be to go back to the corporate world. I decided to start my own corporate world…
Another question I’ve been wondering lately: can a woman who only reads in German ever read Ulysses? Can a woman who only reads in Chinese ever read Virginia Woolf? Can I ever read any of the Russian texts? I believe the answer is rather obvious but I also think it’s sometimes better not to read a thing in its…
Writing is a two prong thing for me. First, the process of thinking and writing itself is enjoyable and vaguely satisfying. Secondly, well crafted words can command enormous influence. Every good story, instruction or code starts with a written word. But what's also true is that writing regularly is hard work. It's…
I own three pairs of shoes at any point. The kind of shoe varies. Right now I don't have a formal pair of shoes in the set. There's one for work. There's one for walks or the gym. And then the's one which is is a generalist. Comfortable enough for anything. I washed the comfortable-enough-for-anything one last week.…
• DO WHAT YOU CAN. As long as you start momentum habits. • Principles are the same. You just had to apply. • Listen to your parents but don’t take advice from poor people. Instead, join and attract yourself to the rich. • Be clear in your mind - means doing hard work for the easiest tasks so that you don’t have…
I first read Akshay’s piece on the blog lamenting the vicious cycle of bad writing that lawyers develop. His recommendation at the end was elegant: write more! I seek not to dispute his claim but to give the reader some food for thought on writing style. If you are introduced to the classics as I were, in fourth grade…
Last weekend, I ran for two and a half hours straight. No music, no podcasts, no one beside me, just me, the road, and whatever my mind decided to say. I used to think that sounds lonely, but it actually never feels that way. It’s something I look forward to all week, those long, quiet hours where I can hear myself…
I prefer packing last minute. It has helped me pack better and not forget the essential items. But this preference is in stark contrast with that of my parents. My mum packs about 2-3 days in advance, and my dad at least the day prior. My preference started changing when I began traveling without my parents. At first,…
Yesterday was another day with no electricity, no internet, or cellular service. We couldn't check messages, browse Instagram, or watch TV. I read a book and went to bed at 9 pm. It made me think about how much more time we would have if we didn't have all these forms of digital entertainment. I didn’t feel like I…
Twitter is not so much a social media company as a core part of the global digital infrastructure. Today, that core infrastructure that hosts billions of messages - from the public communications of governments, corporations, civil society and celebrities to the mundane rants of ordinary citizens - is about to pass,…
The cold, empty space stares back at me: What if it doesn't resonate? What if I'm not pleased with it? Tick-tock More seconds elapse and I don't even have a draft to call first. It's an uncomfortable feeling. Staring across the chasm between the brilliant insight in your mind and the not-yet-articulated onto the…
Finally got around to this project after buying the cigar box at a thrift store a few months ago. All the rest of the parts I had around from other builds/mods. I’ve modded a few guitars now but I think I might be most proud of this one. It wasn’t a struggle the entire build, only took me 3 days in total, and best of…
Amazing how a simple thing like going to a new gym can cause such a torrent of thoughts in my mind. During the Holidays and the worst of the winter, many gyms, included the one I go, work reduced hours and/or not opening in the weekends. Clients are invited to use the network and go to the ones that remain with…
Hi, I'm using these posts to practice writing. Here's a paragraph to start off with. I've never written before so feel free to express your thoughts on how I'm doing. I don't know where to begin. I can't even imagine how all this started. My first memory is pretty dark. I can recall my mother snuggled up to me for the…
It is not easy to write anything. Everyone wants to write something. Preferably something good. Preferably something good and useful. Preferably something good, useful, and uplifting for the heart. But isn’t the very act of writing itself a kind of uplift for the heart? I will not settle that question now. Because my…
Hateful admiration. Painful pleasure. Relaxing chaos. One of the things I want out of life is to experience the full range of emotions. Listening to music takes me close. Happiness, sadness, anger, affection, hate, angst are some of the few I've identified that I've felt, but as humans we are capable of so much more…
The gym is fun, its challenging, helps you have better mental resistance to pain, things you don't necessarily like to do, and the most obvious one its just good for your body. My thing is that I'm a indecisive person and with so many options I just don't enjoy it as much... BUT when going with other people it is way…
hoping for a universal salvation. hoping that up and above, his mercy is so immense, that though every human soul, when even when they repent, is forgiven and chooses salvation. yet when every human soul is forgiven, teachings are useless and what they preach is disregarded as every sin is still forgiven, no matter…
UPDATE: on plagiarism in book - https://christinaluo.substack.com/p/writer-enough --- In February 2023, there was a prompt topic - Celebrating Tiago - in the BASB (Building a Second Brain) Circle community as Cohort 16 was closing. EXCERPT "To commemorate an end to this era, we would like to invite all members to…
I wish they had given me some heads up about life. I wish they knew better about the rat race, and did not nudge towards the same path and mistake the made. I wish I knew better about money, I won't be in the hole I dug myself and I won't be stuck in a job that's draining every drop of life out of me. I wish they knew…
Okay, some more thinking. Maybe I can relate now with what Nelson went through when I started dating Musti. He said he found it mean that I was being so lovey dovey in front of him. That I was doing things and showing affection for musti that I never showed Nelson and that he always craved. Perhaps I’m going to feel…
trocar de contabilidade, agência de publicidade e etc... parece terminar um relacionamento e começar outro. Dá um nervoso terminar
Yesterday, I accidentally smashed a bottle of red wine in our kitchen. Pieces of the broken bottle scattered everywhere, and red wine covered the floor and splashed on the walls—it was a huge mess. Understandably, I was very pissed off at first. But I remembered Shirzad Chamine's mantra of "taking the hand off the hot…
It is something that I don't purposely wanna hold to someone, holding a grudge is something really tiring, but at the same time very hard to let go. It makes me get annoyed at the smallest things and quirks from a person that I usually wouldn't mind, but because of something bigger it just bothers. I should get better…
I enjoy taking photos but don't take enough. I was chuffed to capture this image while investigating an old ship wreck with my niece and her father at our favourite beach. The photo is of my niece and her father as they approached the wreck. I had decided to stay back in the shallow as I considered going any further…
It's rarely as bad as you build it up to be. If you have to do more, you'll take it one step at a time. Your dad may NOT have been wanting to tell you about your mother's heart attack. All you can control is how you feel and what you do. 0856
I’m a big advocate of making the most out of the cards you’re dealt. Take what you have in the moment and start fixing things. Slowly but surely, and within a reasonable timeframe, you’ll get what you want — or at least you’ll be 2X or 10X better than when you first started. Even if don't get what you want, or get…

When all the memes of Bangalore weather have been read, the one which is difficult to drag on for too long is the one about Bangalore's weather. When it's a pleasant 24 / 25 degrees centigrade, a gentle breeze and at 5 pm, one sees the first glimpse of the sun which will set a little past 6 pm, Bangalore can be…
Ahhhh observe the noise; some tell stories, others reveal secrets. observe the colours; some convey intent, others reveal emotions. when combined you a character emerges, who are they...
It seems like someone disagrees with the previous poster: === anon2080 Don't let the naysayers fool you. The Art Symposium was a success and will benefit all artists in the region. The government's role is not to dictate what kind of art should be produced or consumed but to provide the resources and support that…
We started with Simple HomePage, an HTML or even just .txt file. And then Graphics, Links to a few more pages. We needed more so we have CMS or a program, Perl Script on the Server, so we could publish online. It will Generate the Page from DB and Store it as Static File. Basically Moving the Web Site Editor from…
There have been times when I've been told "good job" and it has made me uncomfortable. You'd expect "good job" to be encouraging. I did too. Except, it felt condescending and I never understood why. Until I came across Adlerian psychology and the difference between horizontal and vertical relationships. For the sake…
As I currently sit on the rooftop of my co-living community, I’m reflecting on what I’m grateful for during the past year here. One of the most beautiful experiences has been witnessing how everyone contributes something unique to the community based on what they love and who they are. I’m constantly trying to push…
This wall is from Dhobi Talao and is close to Marine Lines and Marine Street. It was home to a pond used to wash sailors' white uniforms and a community of Goans who had as deep a connection to sea and sailing as the sailors from far-off places who called Bombay their temporary home. If we dig maps, will we find the…
Consistency is hard, a daily grind, Each day a battle with the wandering mind. Blank pages taunt, the cursor baits. In hopes that habit finds its place. In this struggle, there’s much to learn, - couldn't come up with a line here, too tired - That growth lies not in flawless acts, But in how we respond to our own lax.…
Claude is a brilliant, and under-appreciated, alternative to ChatGPT. I've found its writing more relatable when producing long form content. In this post, I'll summarize the Claude Doc's best practices for effective prompts. First, describe your task well. "Think of Claude as similar to an intern on their first day…
Sleep is my most important resource. On average I need around 8,5 hours of effective sleep. More than other people. Without it, I struggle through the day, with everything from thinking clearly to staying motivated becoming a challenge. And I am also quite sensitive to sleep deprivation - feeling symptoms of cold and…

You can freshen up a habit to make it feel new. Each habit has small variables to manipulate. Small changes can spark new interest or enhance the experience. Take journaling, for example. After journaling for a year, I wanted to add something. I wasn’t in danger of giving up journaling. I didn’t see the harm in…
7: Wake up, Shower etc. 8: Meditate, Journal 9: Read 10: Write 11: Exercise 12: Work 4: Meet a friend 6: Dinner 7: Hobby 9: Go for a Walk, Call a friend/family 10: Clean House, Shower, Plan the next day 11: Bed Most of my days don't look like this. But this is what an ideal would look like for me. For work, I'm still…
I have wanted to pursue a Master's degree for well over a year now. The desire to do so has been all-consuming and if I'm being honest, exhausting. I find myself struggling to write the essays, and more particularly, the infamous statement of purpose. It's not that I can't find purpose. It is that I do not know how to…
Hello Everybody 👋, I am Shubham and I am new to this new platform and with its first impression, I loved the look and feel of it ! I have always liked nicheless blogging because when you are interested in lot of things and want to say a lot we spend more time categorizing rather than actually telling the story. Going…
