Jumping on the startup bandwagon
I finally jumped onto the startup bandwagon towards the end of 2021 at the time when offices were sending emails to their employees about opening up. It occurred to me then that if I did not do this, then the only choice left to me would be to go back to the corporate world. I decided to start my own corporate world with systems of my own hoping that what I create will set a precedent for better work environment. I started my own law firm (well I am a lawyer!).
It took a lot of courage. And a dash of madness and a handful of prospective clients. Afterall I did leave a cozy well paying corporate job where I was at a very good position with a good chance of a promotion. If this is not courage and madness then I don’t know what is.
Courage is easy to understand conceptually but hard to find within oneself. It requires one to deep dive into one’s insecurities and face them from every angle and then make a pact to do this every single day till you succeed. And while you do this, you also watch people around you moving forward in the world that you leave behind.
Well now here I am, writing this blog from an office space in WeWork with a hope that all this will make sense in future. Hope is all we need to move on.
