Mumbai's Dhobi Talao

This wall is from Dhobi Talao and is close to Marine Lines and Marine Street. It was home to a pond used to wash sailors' white uniforms and a community of Goans who had as deep a connection to sea and sailing as the sailors from far-off places who called Bombay their temporary home.
