Most of my days don't look like this. But this is what an ideal would look like for me.
For work, I'm still figuring out what could be. It's hard to think about a job that is ok with me working 4 hours a day so I'll probably have to work for myself.
For my hobbies, it'll probably be podcasting, DJing or editing vlogs. I'd also like to spend time teaching others. What? I don't know yet, but I enjoy the process of helping people understand things. Don't know how I feel about being a teacher though.
Weekends, or any 2 days a week, are blank slates and a couple of holidays a year to see new places and meet friends/family.
This simple exercise - of mapping out an ideal day - is very powerful because it helps me focus on living each day well, instead of worrying about future goals.
We all make plans for the future, but if you look where you are today, I'm pretty sure it wasn't part of that plan. So then what is the point of planning and chasing something in the future? Who knows if you're going to wake up tomorrow?
I must admit, that writing about this is way easier. Even on a few "ideal days" I've had, I find myself nervous and anxious about the future.
But the mission is to live as many ideal days as possible
"Today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this day"
