Share what you love
As I currently sit on the rooftop of my co-living community, I’m reflecting on what I’m grateful for during the past year here. One of the most beautiful experiences has been witnessing how everyone contributes something unique to the community based on what they love and who they are. I’m constantly trying to push myself to see, appreciate, and create more space for this.
To the chefs: keep sharing your love of food and creating a soulful meal for others. They’ve been some of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
To the cinephile: keep sharing your love of film by holding film clubs every Tuesday. I never thought I’d get exposure to some of the genres we’ve seen.
To the musician: keep sharing your love of music by holding live events showcasing your music and music from your fellow musicians. I’ve learned so much about the local LA music scene.
To the mixologist: keep sharing your love of cocktails by having weekly happy hours for us. More “Lemon Badgers”, please!
To the sports lover: keep planning watch parties for basketball and football games. Let them get annoyed at how loud you scream for your team.
To the game lover: keep coordinating board game nights and impromptu chess games. It’ll still probably take me years to beat you in chess but that’s the goal!
To the reality TV fanatic: keep sharing your love of The Bachelor by planning watch parties mixed in with some red wine, roses, and hot takes.
To the sage: keep listening and sharing your insight. In this past year, you helped me more than you’ll ever know.
And to you: whatever it is that you love, share it with others.
I’m certain your community will be more beautiful because of it.
