Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
Don't know if one more writing and social media platform, which says it is not a social media platform, is worth the effort of writing. It is like having several notebooks in blank, or many books on the shelves that were never read. The objects are there, but their functions are ignored. Maybe because our brains,…
I wrote this in February, thanks to Nicheless it’s seeing the light of the day. With Covid, we adapted from buying from stores to buying almost everything online and getting it home delivered. This was ok (not saying great). We ordered stuff and it reached in 1/2/3 days. Local kirana wala, a phone call away also got…
Due to too much suspicious activity on Instagram Listening to “supposedly motivational podcast” But not aligning actions (WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO) DOING is most important and most vital Else it’s not important You should try out certain scheduling technics Which you’ve done quite well one day Just need…
I really, really tought that I was above all this situation. That I left all in the past and moved on. That I, as a grow up human been, got my shit together and solved my problems by myself and. But now it came back. It looks like a tsunami in my head and in my chest. A tsunami AND a thunderstorm. AND a earthquake.…
One of life's mysteries is how we get stuck too easily as we age. We make assumptions based on past experiences. We hold back from new adventures based on how others act. We say 'no' before we have even tried. My granddaughter and I were playing with a bottle of bubbles in the front yard. She can come up with endless…
If I could just tune out these distractions, I'll be fine, I told myself. It wasn't just the gadgets. It was the people in my life. The constant, oppressive need to make money. Deleting apps on my phone and turning off notifications was the easiest step. Eventually, I ended up quitting my job. I told myself I needed a…
They say that if you die at home, your cats won't even wait until your cold until they start eating you. I'm completely fine with that. It means my cats will survive until someone finds me/them and looks after them. Is this a weird first post on here? Oh well.
Not really sure how this goes, but I do like the 300 word cap. Halloween was last night and it's always fun to see the kids all dressed up. I'm more of a dress up parent. It feels inauthentic to be walking around on Oct. 31 in your regular people clothes. It's like a no judgement / everyone accepted day. More men opt…
All thanks to Winters: I'm basking in sun while writing this. Sun's warmth feels too heavenly these days. My society's ground is filled with people, majorly grannies with their grand kids. Every person present here has come down of their matchboxes to soak in some Vit-D. I can see so many teletubbies having fun,…
Shit day - but never forget where you came from & lose sight of where you wanna be. Be like Alvin Tan. Confident, if not anything he at least brings his best out. Don’t have to be shy and negative about yourself - thinking what you say is not going to be correct. Just say you whatever you want to say. At least you’re…
The slow start, quiet open windows and fresh morning air. Delight.
A good engineering manager should prevent knowledge hoarding. Knowledge hoarding happens when an individual contributor mistakenly believes that it is in his self-interest to be the only person who knows how to do something on a team. This increases his value to the organization; if he shares his knowledge either…
As a man, a husband, in my forties, who has moved more than 5 times in my life and had to get a new collection of local friends, one piece of advice I wish I could give myself is: never is an opportunity to "get real" with someone. When folks ask: "how's it going?" the reflex is to keep the response as shallow as…
You’re having a problem staying consistent with your new journaling habit. You just proved you're human. You are one among millions. "Look," my husband points to a man writing in a journal. We are waiting for our flight. "He writes in a journal like you." Except I have not written in my journal today. Journaling is a…
The weight of 40ºC heat is torture, but that's nothing compared to the endless search for purpose. Ok, that's all the whining for now. Boredom sucks, but it serves a purpose. I managed to write again after months of nothing. I'm not doing it every day, but it'll do for now. So let's see. I just discovered the work of…
Be a doer, not ‘JUST’ a thinker 道理: 做/最有效率 - 头脑冲刺 别想 - 做 不做无谓的事情 Acting like the best man in the room Best thing to do - think - ACT! (Reputation matters: for competency. But humanity & symphathy makes it charismatic ✨) Click:: Jump!:: (Remove past thoughts):: Think-forward:: G O! ::think of everything deep::…
No entanto, podemos identificar algumas tendências, e…
The factual background of this book is already striking. Padma and Lalli, two lower-middle class teenage girls, go missing from their unremarkable Western UP village in the summer of 2014. They are found hanging from a mango tree. Their family refuses to allow the bodies to be brought down till justice is done. Sonia…
Hoje eu li bastante. Nome do…
Obviously not this one. There's a lot of rambling in my head too, like now. But because these are ramblings, do they matter? Are they worth thinking at all? Should they be shared? Where do our limits lie in thoughts?
today should be a good day if we would be a could be.
Although struggle and suffering is part of life, some of it is avoidable. What I too easily confuse is that ALL suffering should be avoided and the presence of ANY suffering is a result of poor choices. Whether conscious of it or not, each day I wake up with an idea of what life should look like. And then I engage…
It's a World Cup! In December! In Qatar! The number of column inches submitted to the internet about this binge of sport is legion. This post is about marketing, however. Comedian Joe Lycett has been so outraged by the coalescence of football money and questionable regimes (under 25 woman in Qatar? Get permission, as…
People has so many topics outside of work. You gotta have life outside work or feel energetic & interested to go outside to enjoy life. Now I’m feeling like it a bit - I like going outdoors and explore Or just listen to conversations That’s how you get to like know more perspectives and more things It’s pretty…
'FOMO', although a very gen-z term ,is somewhere a deep rooted fear of many. As, no matter what, grass always seems to be greener on the other side. All these apps such as instagram, snapchat, netflix etc are thriving because they instill fomo in individuals. The world has too much to offer and one wants to grab it…
Sim. Muito…
You may think a journaling habit is not for you. Maybe you tried and quit. You’re not a writer. You’re not a creator. You’re not a deep thinker. You’re selling yourself short. You may be all of these and more. I considered myself all of these until I started a consistent journaling habit. A journal is a place you can…
To honor your mother and father is not to obey what they say, to honor your mother and father is to respect them.
Meeting people with same experiences as me makes me so excited, in a certain way we just connect in another level, cause they just understand you, they lived through the same thing. Im really lucky to meet so many people that are similar and different at the same time.
I'm sitting on the train on my way to Cambridge after a road trip in Scotland. So many things happened on the trip—sleeping in a camper van for the first time, listening to the audiobook "Outliers," hiking, and more. Yet, here I am, one hour into the train ride, and I find I have nothing I really want to write about.…
In my 4th decade I realize that 40s is the real inflection point in our lives - few reflections. 1. Curiosity: Whether getting lost in encyclopedia during my younger days to now reading up about cars. Somewhere during the Social Media era, my curiosity had become perfomative, I caught this bug of sounding…
A lot of people likes to use the above graph and article to show how hard drive continue to fall. If you Zoom out over long enough period of course if will look fine. But if we look from 2013, where HDD price was slightly bumped up due to Thailand flooding, we saw price /GB went from $0.04 to $0.015 in 10 years time.…
When we feel displeased with someone, we make every effort to stop any interaction with them. It is liberating to see the difference it makes. In fact, once we have managed to master this detachment, we tend to feel bouts of motivation. The real tragedy is when something that causes us great pain is nothing alien but…
where do i begin...? all the resolutions i write + lives i dream of + + the girl i try to be + + she's getting a little closer to who i am, each year + + am i changing for the better or is she + in 2023, i want: 1. softness wisdom discipline 2. creative passions and personal goals - pottery, making coffee, doing…
Day 3.5, 5:30 pm: does the new publication automatically subscribe everyone? what art for the first "intro" teaser--mom in the kitchen photo or a sketch? Day 4: writers' hour, 5 am, stuck on the monthly blog post which is about mom's newsletter. does this count toward my 15 minute goal of anything C&T related? yes. an…
the most normal taste i have is in music. i'm really into the 1975 right now, but specifically 3 songs: - about you - robber - all i need to hear ("somebody else" is great too but it doesn't fit the vibe of those three songs i just listed that i feel is the best aspect of the band; i basically want to feel like i'm…
3. writing -- i have so many things to say and no one to say them to, so i write. i say i have no one to talk to not because i literally have no friends or acquaintances but because when talking, one needs to consider the interests of one's conversation partner, and it is exhausting to limit oneself to topics which…
É meu primeiro dia de volta ao trabalho depois da cirurgia que abriu minha barriga em três lugares. O céu chora compulsivamente em SP ilustrando bem meu estado de espírito. Eu quero muito ganhar na loteria para não ter que trabalhar. Passaria o dia inteiro pintando, fazendo cursos, cantando e dançando nua e aprendendo…
Our attitude acts as a powerful lens, transforming how we perceive and experience the world around us. The same task or situation can feel like a burden or an opportunity, a challenge or a chance for growth, all depending on the mindset we bring to it.
Can people be captivated by unknown personalities solely by the way they write or will they be motivated primarily by subjects or interests. My main gripe with normal blogging is that I have a very diverse set of interests. I work in IT, I do photography, work on old motorcycles and spend a lot of time working out.…
Learnt smtg from Bryan - age really don’t matter What matters is the level of thinking and what do you think Your way of dealing with people The worst and dumb people is not working and worry this and that Meanwhile the most cleverest is just live in the moment and work the best In no matter what situation He’ll be…
Sometimes everything feels a bit off. The motivation isn’t quite there and nothing flows like you want it to. The most frustrating thing is that the main problem I have these days is that I can’t seem to type properly. Normally I’m pretty good at not misspelling things but when I have those days I’m always messing up…
Today, I struggled with stomach pains, felt generally a bit unwell, and even vomited. Initially, I thought it might be food poisoning from something I ate. But as the day went on, I started to think there might be another reason. I've been pushing myself too hard lately - not regarding the workload, that's doable, but…
It is difficult to really 'enjoy' coffee at home. Compare having coffee at home v/s having coffee in a cafe. The latter is always a more enriching experience. Why? Expectations and context-setting. You go to a cafe and see people enjoying coffee. You keep your phone on the side, take a sip and actually 'feel' what…
I feel that verbal (and even nonverbal) communication is the most important thing for all beings! But it seems, that such capability deteriorates, becomes empty, or (and) false. Not only in hackneyed phrases of politicians or some of journalists, but generally... What about to discuss about possible reasons?
"Write what you know" suggests you already have starting material for saying something. As you begin to write what you know, hopefully you also begin to see what you don't know. So you do some research, re-evaluate what you know, and re-commence with your writing. The inverse is true, too. What you know is revealed in…
“This is what I’m thinking about where to stay on our vacation.” I’m talking to my husband. The decision about where we stay will affect both of us. It’s important that he be in on this conversation. Even when my decisions don’t affect others directly, I talk to myself. Saying what I’m thinking clarifies my options…
Shakira and Gerard Pique are separating after being together for 12 years. I was scrolling through twitter when I first came across a tweet about this and I did not think it is true . But soon after a few days it was all over the news that Pique was cheating on Shakira and was even living alone in an apartment now .…
