Mind Montage
When we feel displeased with someone, we make every effort to stop any interaction with them. It is liberating to see the difference it makes. In fact, once we have managed to master this detachment, we tend to feel bouts of motivation.
The real tragedy is when something that causes us great pain is nothing alien but our own mind. How does one tackle an inseparable aspect of their own self?
It’s like the bird in a cage, trapped yet chirpy. What does it chirp? Sometimes matter which seems utterly gibberish to us.
The mind bears no obligation to anyone, it lives on its own free will. Endless chatter, endless thoughts.
In fact it’s the most versatile pain-giver, taking you through past, future and the present. Ever come across any entity capable of that? (Except maybe a lover, because damn do they hurt).
People spend incessant amount of time, money and effort to try and shut the mind or maybe train it to be slightly nicer to them.
Does it work?
Well, if does we get a batch of confident motivational speakers and if it doesn’t we find a batch of lamenting thinkers.
