Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
To stay in a 9-5: too slow to get the money! The success of anything links heavily to your xintai “Do they still call 23 young?” If there is one book I would want to take a deep read on Is how to converse with people Because any guy can be an expertise in a field But not many can be a bridge to link products with the…
I take things too personally. When someone tells me they don't like my photos, my brain says, "I'm such a bad photographer." When someone says, "Your outfit is so plain today," my brain says, "I have no style, I look ugly." When someone points out a pimple, my brain says, "I AM UGLY." Something happened today that…
There's this man on death row in California, Ronald Stanford. He's there since he was 13. Lost his childhood, his youth, and still in the prison that took everything away from him. Somehow, he still takes care of his body, of his mental state, showers, cleans up, reads and express. On the walls of his 'room', you'd…
Sometimes it's easy to forget, with how big the internet seems, how small the world is. I clicked on a link to read an article by Raina Raskin, a new mother, about how the first time her baby smiled at her shattered her illusions about what mattered in life. All that status-seeking, career-promoting bullshit didn't…
The startup journey is full of hidden traps that can destroy even the most promising companies. I've seen too many talented founders fall into these psychological pitfalls that silently kill startups from within. This happened with myself during a certain phase and thankfully a coach held the mirror. These aren't the…
Woke up around 2:20am feeling impending doom. Worries about taking care of people. Worries about not being able to do what I want. Worries about always being at others' beck & call. Watched some food & self-help videos on YouTube. Got back to bed better listening to train "chu-CHUNK=chu=CHUNK" noises to distract me.…
Consistency is hard, a daily grind, Each day a battle with the wandering mind. Blank pages taunt, the cursor baits. In hopes that habit finds its place. In this struggle, there’s much to learn, - couldn't come up with a line here, too tired - That growth lies not in flawless acts, But in how we respond to our own lax.…
Happy new year, everyone! I'm looking forward to 2023. Many possibilities are already showing their faces!
- at the group meeting we were going back to the same state for the holidays, bonding over public transport - at the holiday party chatting about vampires (i go on a 10 minute tangent about iwtv); we decide we should hang on 1:1 before declaring each other friends; bit about me being a 206 year old vampire - at the…
I. Best-case scenario Donald Trump is elected president in November. An Iranian proxy, whether Houthi, Hezbollah, or Iraqi Shi'ite militia, attacks an American naval vessel in the Persian Gulf. Trump orders a brutal retaliation that decimates the Iranian oil industry in Bandar Abbas. Iran, humiliated, pulls back its…
ahhhhhhhhhhhh i really enjoy going back to old lectures from creators and designers who i consider mentors. when time becomes slow, it is be best opportunity to listen and revise notes. because with time our memory of past content fades...
There's a famous story of a group of blind men who wanted to know what an elephant was like. These men had heard a lot about this majestic creature, so they travelled together to the king's palace to visit an elephant. Since none of them could see, each man had to use his sense of touch to feel what an elephant was…
I enjoy taking photos but don't take enough. I was chuffed to capture this image while investigating an old ship wreck with my niece and her father at our favourite beach. The photo is of my niece and her father as they approached the wreck. I had decided to stay back in the shallow as I considered going any further…
I kind of want to read Holzfällen twice, in German then in English because I feel that the voice is completely different. perhaps I should read Murakami again, in Japanese. or try to... Philip Gabriel's translations of Murakami is such a special voice and I really really enjoy it but what does Murakami actually sound…
It happens so often. It’s not a coincidence. What I free-write in my journal predicts what I will experience or read about later in the day. This happens to me at least once a week. Your thoughts are reflected and reinforced by your experiences. It cycles back around so your experiences reflect and reinforce your…
Last weekend, my sister and I argued. She said my niece was still awake at 3:30 AM. I taunted her for it. Not my proudest moment. But it made me think. Everyone says, “Parenting is hard.” And it is when you’re making hard choices. The kind that helps kid grow strong in body and mind. For this, I truly believe in…
“I think you should dream the earth, As it has a heart and breathes.” — Davi Kopenawa, interview with F. Watson. Pitch, but the dark did not impede the vision, the forest brought comfort and not fear, there were many tropical flowers with the most seductive tones, the cyan ones were light and moved slowly with the…
Refresca e renova real!! Ela escolheu o parque…
there is no such thing as a promiscuous man unless he's gay but my question to society is: is it so bad to be promiscuous? can we treat it as another form of adventurousness? you know what is bad? unhappy marriages abusive relationships we push people to be in relationships so much that we forget that most of us are…
My office consists of cubicles for associates and cabins for the partners. The partners take up the perimeter of the office, having glass walls with blinds - allowing them to observe us and prevent us from observing them. A subliminal show of their power over us. All in all, very panoptican and something I ruminate…
Taking a shower does nothing if you put on dirty clothes afterwards.
Now in the early years of my fourth decade as an adult, am trying to determine what will end up being my go to cocktail in this decade. Wine has and will always remain my trusted and loyal companion at home. Beer will be that calm, peaceful and silent friend walking by my side. But a cocktail will take on a…
new strategy for finding books: follow booktubers who don't like the same books as me (that's very easy to do lmao) i feel myself branching out!! hearing people talk about why they like something primes me to like it too. seeing their smiling faces hypnotizes me into liking what they like i thought i wanted to do a…
It’s Saturday. I should be grading homework and unit assignments. I have a master’s portfolio proposal to write (separate, apparently, from the actual master's thesis I wrote last semester). I have grad school homework to do. Instead, I’m on the couch. My youngest child has his legs draped over mine; he’ll follow me…
In the debate over freedom of expression with regard to blasphemy, I find it absurd when the argument is made, usually in response to some Muslim fanatic going on a murder rampage, that "well Christians try to censor expression too." I just don't think there exists a reasonable argument to be made that there is any…
My boat stands still Soaking in the calm sea; A moment to ponder. -khyati I remember the late morning when I clicked this picture at a jetty near my home. It was about 11 am on a weekday. But the thick cloud cover made it seem like a late evening. Very few people have the privilege to loiter around on a weekday…
As a fellow degen, I've done my fair share of discord grinding. Most times, it almost feels like a job. In the rarer (and best) cases, it feels natural and becomes like a virtual third place. The problem is if you want to be a degen, you have to continue grinding in other discords to get those other WL opportunities.…
Listen to more podcast. W.o.w just Be more accepting. The charismatic people are usually competent - but doesn’t necessarily means JUST smart. It means knowing the stuff but knowing how to convey as well. It’s good to have the ability to stop 🛑 1. 2. 3. But within these 3 seconds you’re actually buying time to…
Feeling hurt. Feeling broken. Knowing dreams won't happen. Needing to live with pain. How can I say I can't hang out more? I keep getting hurt. It's like a cycle I know I shouldn't repeat, but hope lingers. Things won't progress unless I align thoughts and actions. I'm stuck in a pit, not wanting to leave, yet…
There was a two hour period between the time I got to office and had my first cup of coffee where nothing happened. The coffee machine hadn't been setup for the day yet. Two inoperable hours of walking to the office kitchen every 15 mins or so, hoping I would see the glow of the LEDs in the miniature display box. Such…
Time has changed but we still fall for things that promise quicker resolutions. We fell for 2 minute Maggi's because it says so and now we are falling for 10 minute deliveries. Same strategy, same trap and we too are falling the same way. Although I have seen some backlash to this new way of deliveries on Twitter. I…
Sometimes we only miss something when it's gone, and then we feel an emptiness in its place. The art should be to be aware of this even before the void appears. To fully appreciate every moment while it's still present.
Had to just get this one out of the way ASAP to see how it feels. Publishing my thoughts online has been a goal of mine this year (never too late to start on your resolutions, right?), and I’m glad I found this medium to do so. Going to leave all personally identifiable info out for now, until I find a reason to do…
i woke up this morning not knowing where i was but my eyes were heavy so i played a game of "where am i"? before revealing the answer i had some guesses a sailboat in sicily was not one of them (my soul plays this game with me regularly to see if i like where i am. this morning i was rather pleased. it's a splendid…
To think of your own - having that critical thinking solving problems Everyone has their own agenda You have your own too How to get theirs to yours is what makes sense Have your own 城府 Don’t show your emotions You are targeting on the “missions” only - but getting trust from people using emotions is also part of the…
The iPhone Duo is going to sell like hotcakes in India. Not because it is a good phone, but because it will be the status symbol of 2026-2027, and India is a status driven society. In India, the iPhone Duo is about 50% more expensive than it is in the US, which means its status signaling power is also 50% higher.…
lately i've noticed that where you write has an impact on how you write. i don't mean where your body is, like cafe or your bedroom or a toilet stall, but i mean where your writing goes. it makes a difference what app, notebook, platform, program you use. it totally affects the way that the information is conveyed and…
You should be asking yourself what’s the goal Else you’ll be working under G And problem with people like him is they never tell you their details They just want what they wanted People working under them won’t feel so appreciated and it’ll be in another words: pain in the ass You walk through IKEA finding yourself…
Hoje…
There's been talk on Twitter lately about the massive funds of the Wikimedia Foundation. I had no idea, and I think others were surprised too. It makes sense, though. I was always surprised at the professionalism of their work compared to the homemade vibe of the volunteer communities that run the wikis. They use…
What’s the point? To struggle the unknown To suffer uncertainty What’s the point? To believe in a bright future While living in the dark present What’s the point? To have people who care Who only offer sympathetic stares What’s the point? To lose a bit of you everyday Trying to build a fuller you for tomorrow What’s…
⋆ I don’t really like Radiohead except 15 step ◯ And you like that creepy song too, like, “the creeps” ⋆ Yeah ◯ So you like 2 songs ⋆ Yeah ◯ So you like more songs from Radiohead than from most bands ⋆ Yes that’s right ◯ That makes you a fan
In every job, there is a toughness and a hardness (difficulty) - everything has a level for you to attain; not everything is easy. In every job. Even if you’re not in the dream job yet you cannot lose your identity. You have to fight hard and do your best in every situation - earn as much, or learn as much: and do…
