We Fall into the same loop
Time has changed but we still fall for things that promise quicker resolutions. We fell for 2 minute Maggi's because it says so and now we are falling for 10 minute deliveries.
Same strategy, same trap and we too are falling the same way. Although I have seen some backlash to this new way of deliveries on Twitter. I was a little relieved.
I am not alone on this.
The 10 min delivery is a good idea, but it's not actually good for us. What is particularly so important that we need 10 min deliveries. except for the emergencies.
I would counter-point like have delivery option but make user pay extra for 10 min delivery rest give them 3 hours time.
This so-called instant gratification is really not the way we move towards.
10 min deliveries causes more people to drive recklessly, breaking rules and even may have lot of damage. Since it is two sided, the customers will expect 10 mins and sometimes it may be late but they might raise a dispute and the worker might not get the salary for the day.
These may or may not happen but the likeliness of the above scenario happening is a lot more.
I don't know if I am wrong but the thought of why keep poking in my mind.
The better use cases I found online was in healthcare, long travel logistics and a bunch of other sectors but not daily groceries.
I don't know....
