Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
I can be very restless and impatient; and sometimes surprise myself with my patience while watching birds. Watching birds going about their chores assiduously pleases me like nothing else. It's fascinating to watch a swallow build its nest drop by drop of mud, a lammergeier soar high with a bone and drop it on a rock…
Today I have improved a lot. I had a totally different mindset, full sage mode – open, curious, positive, creative, empathetic – and it’s crazy how others picked up on it and mirrored it. I participated in many of the sessions, communicated openly about what I needed and wanted, and simply talked to the others instead…
There’s some power that you can’t be seen Discipline Trust Vision Knowledge All these are not superficial All powerful things are not visible. Not in clubs Not in monetary terms Used to feel so weak or anxious Because I didn’t practice discipline which would make me strong Some people consider music as power…
Last year, I worked on a little project to figure out what we needed to do as a society to prevent us from making our planet unliveable. I took an inevitable deep dive into the climate crisis only to realise that fossil fuel consumption and the resulting runaway warming of our planet is a mere symptom. That trying to…
What happens when your environment does not match your needs? As our need for food and safety is fulfilled, a new void opens up. The need for love and connection. This is where we start noticing other aspects of our environment. A friend, a beautiful lady in the street, a like on a post.. Our environment is the same,…
Hola querido lector, lectora.
I will miss these views. the sunrises. how the trees shake and sway in the wind during storms. But i also miss the warmth of the sun and the green of the trees above me when I laid down on the blanket in the park. The way the sun would cut back and forth behind leaves. I miss sitting outside sipping from a glass with…
Today I’m listening to Foxing’s 2014 album The Albatross. Recommended to me as a great introduction to the Midwest Emo genre, the album really bares it heart wide open for the listener. I enjoy the surpsingly varied composition, with plenty of one-off instruments and track vibes. The vocal performance swings between…
1. What's something that puts a smile on your face instantly? 2. Who's that someone you look forward to sharing the good news as soon as you receive it? 3. If money and responsibilities are taken out of the equation, would you still live in the same city? 4. What's your favourite childhood memory? 5. Do you feel…
I used to think to produce good work, I have to duck my head down, empty myself, fully, so that I could un-become, and just be - right - do the right thing - somehow. I now know that my best bet is to integrate, to align, to face my heart, and yours. My best bet is to take things to their logical conclusion - because…
How useless most of what we do at agencies is... When working for a friend's business, I suddenly dont think that audience segmentations or anything like that is worth it.
I'm probably going to end up sleeping a little later than usual tonight, because I really need to get this out. Been feeling a little excited about life lately. Happier even, you could say. There's a certain level of enthusiasm I feel when I think about the future. There's still a lot to overcome in terms of a lot of…
Why bother so much about not making a mistake - like KS. The point of this life is to make as many as possible. The way of saying “what’s the point of playing Sudoku if you don’t even bother getting it right or wrong” - is actually not the essence of life. The point of life is to make as many mistakes as possible -…
Good night's sleep, even without the whirlpool and crappy eating. Odd dream: only a snippet of making out with a woman I know to be a lesbian. Got to listen to birdsong over coffee this morning. The birdsong doesn't make me feel as happy as it used to. Time for a break, time for a change. 280720 May 2022
I’ve been working on building some reverb tanks the last few weeks. I got the first one wired tonight and I messed up something. The two circuit boards, that are not connected, are somehow interacting with each other. I’m going to try and wire up the second one tomorrow and see if I can find what I did wrong the first…
today i did yoga whilst fantasizing about being "LA rich" being "LA rich", I would do yoga outside, absorbing heat from the sun like a reptile do yoga inside, cozy-style lounge about, read go on "reading vacations" at bed & breakfasts in Big Sur eat salads, drink wheatgrass shots drive around in a sexy stylish…
Last week I went down a YouTube rabbithole of credit card optimization. I watched loads of videos of extremely smart people showing off how they maximized their credit card reward rates. Not just smart people – rich smart people. Folks whose time is money. Somehow, each of them determined that spending hours of their…
At this point I'm writing here only to and for myself. Which is fine. However, having an app (Android) to write it from would be a plus. Also, upon registering I received an automated welcome email from the Nicheless founder saying "feel free to get in touch and ask anything". So I replied saying how cool Nicheless…
Is there anything worse than feeling alone? To believe you are worthless. To envy those who aren't alone. To regret your decisions. To question your very existence. To feel your life passing, surrounded by love and laughter, and yet so far away from achieving it. To write and hope the pain dulls. To invite sleep with…
Every some years, a band comes from left field and knocks your socks off. You have no expectation of them, maybe you'd never heard of them before. Leaving aside the bands of my early growing up years, bands or artists that have had that effect on me have included The Talking Heads, The Stone Roses, Nick Cave and the…
When you're younger, you are encouraged to be ambitious. As the years fly by, you learn the important of accepting. Of late, I've found myself in a tricky spot - figuring out the right balance of ambition and acceptance. I would consider myself an ambitious person. There's a lot I think I can achieve and when I look…
Masculine powers vs Feminine powers Is just a natural attraction energies It’s not your job to make people “attracted” to your energies Each person is finding that partner that can succumb to their energies levels Live your best 20s Work on your personality The time to be the best extreme at everything is now Taken a…
Today was a great day. Spend more money than I’d want to since yesterday but it’s okay but it wasn’t on drugs or booze.. tonight I made chicken Alfredo pasta w mushrooms to finish a great day
Do you lie awake at night thinking of all the bad stuff happening in your life? Everyone’s brain is wired for a negative bias. We talk about the negative more. We remember the negative first. We all go through negative experiences. Their sources come from emotions, poor decisions, and mistakes. Some of these…
i'm looking for something i realized that i write to solve my problems and find clarity but since my problem is quite large now, i'm gathering much concentration and this is all i think about. i've been asking all my friends. i'm trying to solve something that no one has ever solved. but if the answer is out there,…
there are many stories and analogies regarding the output of pressure -- diamonds, and all that -- and though I think this is valid, I sometimes wonder if I seek it. that isn't what I intended to write there. I intended to write, "I wonder if it is necessary." an answer that is closer to some truth came as I wrote )I…
Yesterday I‘ve finished a first draft of my thesis. Today I spent the day fine-tuning it. Once again I noticed how much more I like the process of bringing something from 50 to 100 percent, vs. starting from scratch and creating a first version. I am definitely better at perfecting, fine-tuning and finishing. If I…
To understand a system, you must define its boundaries, forming its own “universe.” While we often think of individuals as separate from their environment, in reality, they are deeply interconnected. Evolutionary constraints highlight this relationship: organisms are shaped by and respond to their surroundings. The…
Let me first explain describe the situation - I have plans and things I want to do, they are not that hard to do but for some reason, I just cannot take the first step. Laziness, procrastination, being too comfortable, lack of desire of doing the thing that I thought I wanted, burnout, lack of discipline - the actual…
I'm kind of tired seeing people sharing unsolicited advice about growth, productivity, finance - all of these things that supposedly make you successful. My definition of "success" is so different from those in my surroundings now, but... it feels so strange to leave so fast when this is all I've known, too. But I…
If my body had a group chat during a run, it would be pure chaos. Legs: “We’re tired.” Brain: “We literally just started.” Lungs: “Who approved this pace?” Heart: “Guys, chill. We’re fine.” Stomach: “No, we’re not. That banana was a mistake!” By kilometer two, everyone’s arguing. Legs threaten to leave the chat. Brain…
Covid came and Covid went (well, not really). There was isolation for a long time. Then there was not, as long as you wore masks in private spaces. Shortly after I started going out, I began having these recurrent dreams. I would dream that I entered someplace (the bus, the shopping, whatever) and suddenly notice that…
There is something so fulfilling about hiking and something attractive to it that makes you come back to it, after all the pain and tiredness that it caused. Hiking gives me time to breathe, think and look around, it's an activity that has grown into me. For some people getting to the top gives them the achievement…
How to get attracted is to be interesting - study the material and know the content Not aiming to play with words or being superficial like looks etc… Be interesting means reading more about it, actually infuse and understand it, being in the moment to joke around You wanted to be original & you don’t want to copy…
Sentir vontade e…
twitter isn't what it used to be and too many people i know follow me so i can't be totally candid with my thoughts; i love my physical journal but i think i like a digital space for fleeting thoughts, sometimes the pen to paper feels too permanent. journal is also more of a documentation of time, not as much as an…
one thing i’ve been thinking about a lot is what i’ve thought of as “what-the-fuck art” that is, those artworks that are so weird and so confusing that you can’t help but go “what the fuck, why is this… like this? what series of decisions and beliefs led the artist to think these make sense together?” — i suppose any…
Reflecting on the experiment of writing every day for more than a month, I can say that, at first, like any other challenge in life, it seemed daunting. You doubt yourself and are scared of all the "what ifs" that could happen. The first days are probably the hardest; there is a change in your life, and you're not…
I love the phrase "I'm so lucky." No matter the circumstances, every time I say, "I'm so lucky," I find countless positive things in a day, no matter what happens. Our van door fell off, we had the worst food ever, or I had a headache. But on those same days, we drove through Scotland, stayed in front of beautiful…
Quite often, I hesitate to acknowledge my pettiness. For instance, I took up this writing challenge for the month but have had days when I didn't publish. I missed writing the piece for a total of six days. Of the six, on two days, I hit publish without adding any content because I wanted it to seem regular. How…
I wrote this in February, thanks to Nicheless it’s seeing the light of the day. With Covid, we adapted from buying from stores to buying almost everything online and getting it home delivered. This was ok (not saying great). We ordered stuff and it reached in 1/2/3 days. Local kirana wala, a phone call away also got…
We just escaped from the loud club. We had just celebrated your birthday there but it wasn’t your environment. Apparently you once lived a party life, but I hadn’t seen that side of yours, you had put all that behind you. Our drunk friends took an auto. We decided to walk it. I was sober enough, I am fucked up on the…
i'm reading the kāma sūtra and it is not a great book in the sense that if you were to do what it says to do, you will be further from the goals it promises you'd achieve. (namely, that of taking general pleasure in life) but the kāma sūtra is great as a glimpse into the lives of wealthy indians of an ancient past if…
I used to be a man who wanted to go into women's toilets. This wasn't a gender identity issue and I'm not a pervert. This had to do with the fact that I am the father of four daughters, who were once small girls. The default position on fathers taking their daughters to a public toilet is that they should go together…
One of the goals of my career sabbatical is to spend time with new technology tools. To that end, I decided to start working with an autonomous coding agent as a way to spend time with technology and to have an actual project to demonstrate what I'm learning (that project here: https://stachemail.co). I am late to the…
