Foxing

Today I’m listening to Foxing’s 2014 album The Albatross.

Recommended to me as a great introduction to the Midwest Emo genre, the album really bares it heart wide open for the listener. I enjoy the surpsingly varied composition, with plenty of one-off instruments and track vibes.

The vocal performance swings between lovely high clean vocals and some very rough harsh vocals technique: my vocal chords winced sympathetically while listening to Rory.

Overall a thumbs up from me, this is a really complete feeling album and a great recommendation.
