from 50 to 100

Yesterday I‘ve finished a first draft of my thesis. Today I spent the day fine-tuning it. Once again I noticed how much more I like the process of bringing something from 50 to 100 percent, vs. starting from scratch and creating a first version.

I am definitely better at perfecting, fine-tuning and finishing. If I already have a certain rough foundation, it's much easier for me to get into the flow state and get creative.

The question is if that is normal or if that is really my strength. Do I like the process of getting started from scratch less because I have my strengths somewhere else or because it’s just harder anyways?

Once again, I‘ve noticed that there is literally no reason to not share ideas. Even if they are very rough, early-stage. The idea itself is worthless, so nothing to hide there. But sharing it with other people helps a lot in gaining clarity, getting inspiration, and learning more about it.
