Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
there is something about the nature of the things i seek which makes them hard to find namely that i look for things that are largely unspoken i look for the anti-memes and i am so attuned to this quality that the books i want to read are often difficult to acquire or out of print
Having a clutter of possibilities is a burden. What once was hopeful, is now just stuff to wade through when looking for what you want. Items and ideas lying around waiting for the right circumstances to be used keep you from seeing what to use now. With less, opportunities are more likely to become actions. If you…
Going out with friends that have the same hobbies as you is just another level, today we went to the museum because we had a sketching assignment. It felt so cute that we were all walking with our sketch pads and pencils and sitting on the floors of the museum to appreciate artworks. I'm actually studying what I love…

Ever heard this saying, “God helps those who help themselves”? I don’t know who came up with this but it is not in the bible. If everyone can help themselves, they won’t seek God.
Maybe you shouldn’t be affected by how others treat you You need to be big enough Still smile to them To L, to the Myanmar engineer who is rude Make eye contact and smile - say hi morning, things like that Don’t be rude just because others are That makes you reactive - and only initiative people tends to get success…
When I touch my thumb and my index finger together, if feel a sensation. I can try to convey my experience to you in words. Pressure, skin, temperature, bones, soft, hard. These are just words. We love words, that's why were are here on nicheless. But in no way, you can ever know what this sensation feels like for me.…
Don’t fool yourself. I don’t anymore. Most mornings, I get this strong urge to just dive into work right away. Like, do something, anything, just to feel like I’m being productive. My hands need to be busy, right? But here’s the truth: that’s a trap. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I used to believe that starting…
I finally jumped onto the startup bandwagon towards the end of 2021 at the time when offices were sending emails to their employees about opening up. It occurred to me then that if I did not do this, then the only choice left to me would be to go back to the corporate world. I decided to start my own corporate world…
I took this picture last year as we were walking on our way to the Mukteshwar Temple in Uttrakhand. The pathway leading to the temple was full of vendors selling their farm produce. Many emphasized the fact that these products were grown organically without the use of pesticides, which was the main reason we stopped…
Growth is a function of experimentation; when you stop testing new ways of doing things, you stop growing. -Omar Itani I was waiting in a coffee shop when I discovered Itani’s newsletter, “The Optimist.” The above quote jumped out at me. Newly retired, I was in the coffee shop, optimistically experimenting with ways…
I am trying to listen to my body. I continued to be exhausted today, so I fell asleep, I took breaks, and I said no to things that I could. I also limited time spent on WhatsApp. I think that was really helpful. Additionally, I had tried to limit my interaction with other apps, etc while I work on some stuff. I still…
A friend and I regularly check-in across the ocean - California, US and Vietnam - regarding activities around PKM, GTD, and solopreneurship. Two days ago, I recently shared about my on-goings - "... and lots of self-reflection - or shall I say "Self-Inflection" - I feel like I am at a transition point" Self-inflection…
Everyone is talking about moats being dead. If something is easy to build, anyone can build it. I don't know what my opinion is. I feel like I don't have time to think about it. Or maybe I don't really care, because building products online feels like play to me, not a job. For Nicheless, perhaps if it had a network…
a new day is here nothing can be assumed no one knows the way ( some claim to know and take the lead ) the fog is impossible and the journey so long but we get up and walk the only thing we can do
What a humbling experience has been this one week. Met some wonderful people and felt the pain of some random people sharing the same space as us on planet earth. All of us have it so different and our needs/ demands are so diverse but when you participate in medical camps as these you realise how privileged you are.…
Is not you’re kaypo about others (Used to think some people are too busybody) But you understand there is such thing called people intelligence And the desire and initiative to know something from the start till the end Understand more Know what is the characteristics and “ability” each person carry Everyone is…
I passed through some fairly rigorous academic testing in my days as a graduate and postgraduate student in professional STEM studies. I've now grown into a role which requires that I periodically test the proficiency of youngsters in my profession. I'm just back from conducting such a proficiency test earlier today.…
Worry globally, neglect locally.
When I was eighteen, I started a journal. I faithfully wrote entries every day for five years. At the time, I didn’t consider it a journal. I was in college. With my tuition paid, my life savings was $1800. This was my spending money. I didn’t qualify for work-study. I planned to make my money last as long as I could.…
Everything is scripted. Media. Social media. Social circles. Everything is designed to pull emotion from your soul. That unsettled soul feeds the system, runs the power of the show. Our lives as words on a piece of (digital) paper amongst a (digital) reality. We are both the actors and the viewers. Actors desperate…
The lenses we use to view events in our lives can greatly affect our perception of those events. I'm sure you've seen pictures of galaxies, with their magnificent colors and shapes. The naked eye will only see a black space because it is only capable of seeing visible light. But with the right set of tools, you can…
Historically, overly-extractive business models eventually face pressure from the public, shareholders, and regulators. Once-unstoppable cigarette companies have been forced to pay the public health costs of their products and fund billion-dollar anti-smoking marketing campaigns. The market conditions for renewable…
On days like these I normally switch from "work mode" to "chill mode" and just relax, take it easy, and don't worry if I'm being productive or wasting time. But today, it was a little different because I had to wake up early and go out to run some errands. That made it more likely to go back, get breakfast, and be…
It began back in early march of 2024. I'd just returned from my birthday trip to Iceland. My partner at the time, recently unemployed had come along for the trip. I'd already felt some resentment from having to pay for everything on my own birthday trip, though the trip was my idea, so this wasn't justified. Upon…
have you ever considered that maybe the toxic things you once felt bad about enjoying are the only things that truly nourish you? i am feeling that the life i now have is not really a life worth living; it is for someone but not for me (this must seem insane ; i'm living people's lifelong dreams...and everyone says…
There were two doors. Not identical. No, that would have been easier. One was familiar, worn at the edges, its handle shaped by years of use. The other stood newer, not inviting exactly, but deliberate. It suggested movement, not comfort. He had the key to neither. That was the first mistake people make when they…
i'm looking for something i realized that i write to solve my problems and find clarity but since my problem is quite large now, i'm gathering much concentration and this is all i think about. i've been asking all my friends. i'm trying to solve something that no one has ever solved. but if the answer is out there,…
more than words, silence speaks harder. more than being full, emptiness makes things clear. more than always being occupied, space makes things happen. being present everywhere can make you empty from inside, people need space to fill themselves up and come back with an better understanding of who they are. Charles…
I'm currently reading a highly recommended history of the American Revolution. It's a fairly big book with nearly 800 pages, and I'm about a third through. I'm not going to write much about the book itself, because I plan to write a more detailed review when I finish. I like history and read a lot of history books.…
This is not an essay. Rather, a letter to self. I have been journaling for almost 3 months now. It's irregular at best. Yet, it has been the best clarity building exercise for me. During the writing process, I discovered - patterns in my thought process. Such as - I start, seldom finish. I am an instant-dopamine…
We arrived here on a Sunday evening. It was already 9 PM as we trudged out of the airport gates lugging a heavy pile of suitcases onto an empty road. Someone should have received us here and, after a few moments of panic and frantic WhatsApp calls, we found out that the driver was late. We sat down at a parapet on the…
I was talking to someone I care for deeply. They didn’t see the need to write or journal. There is so much already out there to read. Why would they write? Who would read it? They don’t see what I do. You journal for the benefits. The benefits are hard to see unless you journal enough to experience them. My friend…
My older son (see photo) is starting to have serious homework every day. Serious means: if he did it on time, it would be 30 min max. But he doesn't, so I need to check and check and check. Today he was playing Minecraft on his laptop... Instead of doing fractions, learning a song for Music class or reading about…
Here I plant my flag, in words three hundred, Each word is precious, they're exactly numbered; Of course, we could do like the ancient Greeks And write without the spaces -- we'd be freaks! But -- problem solved! We'd have limits no more. The host would think that I'm a writing drunkard -- In which case I'd certainly…
You might be a lifeline in a social setup but lifeless underneath, you have a gallery full of smiling selfies but you don't have one smile for yourself everyday. You have a phone full of contacts but you don't want to dial to any one. When you try to analyse yourselves you come to conclusions like I am an introvert, I…
When I was offered a position in one of the best law firms, I took it up without a second thought. The fact that the person who made the offer was, in the legal circle known, as a ‘toxic person’, did not deter me. This, I thought, was a very general description of a partner and I had spent enough time in law firms to…
The times, they are changing. We're in transition mode between a decade long bull run, and a recession that will last for who knows how long. If you stay quiet and listen carefully, you'll hear the pessimists collectively chant "I told you so". I don't blame them. They only get to be right once a decade. Meanwhile,…
Ahhhh some days are experienced yet sit deep within my subconscious never to be recalled on. today could be one of those days...
O texto é pra lamentar que agora o Sesc 24 de maio não vende mais sorvete de iogurte but also to talk about something more deep, como minha rigidez cognitiva com algumas coisas. Eu não gosto de mudanças. Na real, não gostar é muito ameno. Eu ODEIO mudanças. E tudo está sempre mudando o tempo todo nesse mundo. Tudo…
Questioning the notion of free will seems to be in fashion nowadays. So what is this idea of "free will?" I think a lot of us have an intuitive sense of what it is. It's the idea that our personal sense of agency or identity is what originates our actions. Who does what we do? Well, we do. If you're out for a walk…
Reflecting on the experiment of writing every day for more than a month, I can say that, at first, like any other challenge in life, it seemed daunting. You doubt yourself and are scared of all the "what ifs" that could happen. The first days are probably the hardest; there is a change in your life, and you're not…
The most recent film I watched was her. It was beautiful, not just the story but the cinematography. I'll be writing these little blogs about the movies I've watched and love. I don't intend for it to be a review or an analysis. I only intend to write down how it made me feel. her. I was doubtful about the emotional…
Ahhh 🔁 iteration; continuous testing of an idea until one finds perfection in design. ironically perfection does not truly exists, but iterating on an idea can get design to a point that is almost perfect. i find the most relatable design does not strive to be perfect, yet it it gets so close that allows others to…
I am currently in the random situation of helping a big German influencer film the first episode of her new podcast sponsored by Spotify and I‘m extremely surprised by how incompetent she is and how little of a clue she has. It’s crazy how far you can go by just acting competent. It’s all about the attitude.
