iteration; continuous testing of an idea until one finds perfection in design.
ironically perfection does not truly exists, but iterating on an idea can get design to a point that is almost perfect. i find the most relatable design does not strive to be perfect, yet it it gets so close that allows others to improve on top of the design. one example is the superonda sofa by Andrea Branzi. a polyurethane block cut in two with a wave shape for the user to place in the orientation they desire. a simple shape that can be adapted to suit most spaces. the wave gives opportunity for iteration to allow for design into focused areas; one for comfort, one for continuity, one for playfulness, now you can think of how to improve on a 'perfect' design to be even more perfect, iteration indefinite...
