A world of little thoughts.
Hello, As a kid I spent many hours gaming and one of my favorite genre was "RPG" (Role Playing) because these game were open ended and played out based on the choices that the player makes based on internal & external considerations. The effects of these choices are consequential. Everything in a good RPG effects the…
my transitional coworker, a coworker who took over my piano teaching job for me and who, during this transition, became my friend, is a musician more precisely stated, his main thing, as he sees it, is the music he makes, and this piano teaching gig, as he sees it, is just a side hustle -- it's the root that nourishes…
Visualization is a strategy to create a mental image of your success. Daily journaling helps you visualize your success each day. Success in whatever you hope to achieve. It starts with identifying what you want to accomplish. I write a statement of intent. I will spend an hour working on organizing my archived…
It took me over two weeks to finish Barkha Dutt's book, To Hell and Back. Not because it reads slowly - quite the contrary. But the scope of the pandemic, and the individual and collective tragedies it contains within it, required me to put it aside for days at a time. Individual stories stood out, framed in sharp…
As a positive person, I still have a strong Eeyore characteristic. I have doubts. You seldom hear me express this side of my personality. Acting positive and confident follows the belief that you should act like you want to be. So I appear to have a positive outlook. Which, of course, I do have, except for when I…
ahhh as i continue AI text to image generation it makes me think about how it relates to the overarching narrative of art. the closest movement would be surrealism with the goal to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind. now with less barrier to creation, the content within one's mind can now be…
There are times when I look at contact list in my phone and feel like talking to a couple of them without any agenda. But I am afraid today to do so. I could do it easily in my younger days when the only purpose of phone was calling; SMS and listening to music were additional features. I did it for years and it helped…
I am a crow widow. Tonight the crows took my wife from me. I knew this day was coming. They called to her for months, drew her with shiny gifts. And she courted them too, attracted by their intellect, the prehistoric tilt of their heads. She was always too good for me. I knew that from the start. But I never imagined…
The protests in India, which began mid June under the label of CJP or Cockroach Janta Party, took a life of its own when Gen Z made their aspirations known on social media using instagram in full force. This combination of youth, frustration, joblessness, directionless leadership and a bleak future was a recipe for…
Having had a long period where I had no energy or interest in tinkering with any side-projects, the energy now seems to return. Perhaps it is a reflection of a better state of mind. Perhaps it is a reflection of winter in the Northern hemisphere and hence less daylight, but nevertheless the fact remains that I have…
Just saw though - from a dying 23 yo patient His last ideal was to bring his kindness and love to everyone around him And he hoped to be remembered from that Because when I was poor I was not in the right state of mind My mind was abit evil and selfish I didn’t want to spend time with my ex because I wanted to focus…
I saw Homebound today. It was heartfelt. It showed me a side of India that I know nothing about. How their lives go. What their routines are. What they aspire to be. What problems they deal with. Part caste and religion plays in small ways in their daily experience. I hold Varun Grover in a very high regard. I'd see…
“I’m through with this fuckin war, through with marchin in the dust, through with gettin shot at. I’m done, I’m goin’ home,” spouted Jenkins as he got up from the fire. “Quit bein’ a pussy, ain’t one of us here that don’t wanna be home” countered Carlton. “I ain't no pussy.” “Sure acting like one.” “Evenin’ boys”…
1. music -- sometimes music can be punishing ("public" music...the kind you can't shut off at will) but music is a blessing when i'm doing boat work. i've found that the only type of boat work i can really do and the kind that i sort of enjoy is the kind that requires merely the possession of my body, and that leaves…
It hit me today. The realization didn't hit me like a ton of bricks. (Like some people would say.) But it did arrive to my conscious awareness. What am I talking about? Well, the fact that people don't do that of taking time and space out of their mundane routine. Like what I can write in the following paragraphs can…
Have you had a distant relative of yours who came to you and asked, 'Oh, you have changed so much,' only to realize later that you are not the person they thought you were? Apart from the personality changes we experience in our lives, which we often refer to as phases resulting from significant life events, the truth…
tamino has a really special vibe and in the past i've tried to copy him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOZ6oXtx1oM but have since forgotten about him and then at open mic i ended up borrowing someone's guitar to sing and i went for a lana del rey song and looking at my video i saw a bit of tamino i was wearing all…
In the last few days, I've spoken to many intelligent people about AI, the future, and how our world will change. These conversations have intensified my realization of the extreme transformation we are experiencing. Every answer we find raises three new questions. It’s getting faster and faster, more and more complex…
Today, while I was stuck in a traffic jam, I saw a car throw something out the window. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but as I got closer, I realized it was trash—a can of beer. My mind started to explode with questions and thoughts: Why didn’t that person save the trash until they got home to throw it away? Why…
As a child, it felt that entertainment was prioritized over love. Not the commercialized love but the true essence of caring for one another. True love, for some, lays at the end of a long path of healing from childhood trauma as well as adulthood trauma. How can one show compassion to a world that has only made it…
all’s too loud, I need silence it’s whining like sirens a buzz so strong, a hum so intense it suffocates every thought in my head indecision of a mind split in two all sense disperses tunnel vision pulling through
I’m sitting in a cabin in Port Austin, Michigan, the very tip of the thumb. I woke up to the sounds of the lake, small waves crashing ashore beneath our back porch. Every few seconds, another crash. I could feel my body sway with the tide as it crashed in and rolled out, crashed and rolled, crashed and rolled. My…
Last weekend, my sister and I argued. She said my niece was still awake at 3:30 AM. I taunted her for it. Not my proudest moment. But it made me think. Everyone says, “Parenting is hard.” And it is when you’re making hard choices. The kind that helps kid grow strong in body and mind. For this, I truly believe in…
Back in India, I read an article called "Travel is no cure for the mind" [https://moretothat.com/travel-is-no-cure-for-the-mind/]. It illustrated how changing your surroundings is not the answer to existential angst or the pursuit of joy and fulfillment in life. And while the article covered sufficient ground…
you thought there would be more monarchs at the end -- and perhaps there are, far too far above to see -- here, in this wasteland of husks and maggots. how many times have you circled back around to the same point in life? all these useless rotations; little changes for a hopefool. not [ ] enough, each time. it's…
What if what I thought was wrong My perspective aren’t the right one The thought process is not the strongest one How do I forge it within myself To have intelligence I need to be hardworking and keep thinking on it Work on the details Been too lazy to think And that becomes a habit Even the type of bikes, the roads,…
i took a nap under the premise of "meditation" and as i laid there i thought: "oh yes is this what meditation is? oh yes it is very pleasant. is it like a dumping out of all the thoughts i'm having? not trying to think but just letting it all out so i can have a clear mind? oh yes it is so nice oh yes i like this so…
The “future of work” is often imagined as a sudden rupture, a world where digitization, artificial intelligence and automation replace jobs overnight. Yet in developing economies such as Indonesia, the shifts seem less like a single break and more like a series of overlapping transitions— technological, social, and…
Today is 31st Dec. The last calendar day of 2022. Hence, I will keep this one very short. In fact, this is just a year end note to self. A lot happened this year. I got my dream job but left it in 9 months. Instead, I chose a soulful path of wealth building. Took a bet on myself. Now building my own venture.…
It is totally awesome to be free of the external judgement. To create without the fear to be misunderstood, to express any opinion being equal in probability to be discussed free of prejudice. Such an approach gives an adequate perception of the surrounding phenomena, allows to connect cause and consequence without…
Here's one from yesterday: === anon6232 Is anyone else annoyed at Dr. Caleb attending the Arts Symposium at Ensenada La Nueva? It seems to me this symposium looks to capitalize on the 'expat' artists who relocated to this region. These 'expats' are consuming local artists' opportunities, and Dr. Caleb's presence will…
"Do you want to come build something?" It was an important question, something I had been thinking a lot about lately. You can't know the answer if you never ask the question. I had never asked it myself. -- I didn't think much about startups when I was younger. I had always focused on school, moving from one grade to…
Subconsciously, we know what we're capable of. We're cognizant of the software code God programmed within us to flourish. We know what elements make us, us. A unique individual (and perspective) placed into the world to influence others. We end up afraid of reaching our full potential, each passing moment that we're…
Eu apontava a…
Guy who wears suit Or try to impress everyone everyday at uni Thinking of life What did they turn out to be? Did they follow the system or they started something else for themselves as well? Do I actually want to just show my face to work? Ideas are forged - not created. Work on it and start day by day - and you…
Eventually, it's a world of one. I don't mean this in a nihilistic, pessimistic, or even a narcissistic way. I just mean that eventually, it's a world of one. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does give me the occasional existential crisis. Now that I'm starting a venture of my own, I'm more empathetic…
There are times and topics that make me want to lay in the middle of the floor and stay there until... who knows. I have yet to take that option. Yesterday at a mental health facility a patient opened the door to his balcony, looked down, turned around, and laid down in the middle of the hallway until someone came and…
Take a new leap of faith Read the book Go to events Go to sports meet new people Travel the world for half a year Talk to people you wanted to talk to Listen to podcast Ask for a raise Don’t escape from the hard things in life by short term dopamines (insta, fb, YouTube, dinner, sleep, etc…) Put your mind in it Put an…
"Don't tell me the moon is shining. Show me the glint of moonlight on broken glass" Chekhov. And there it is. The secret of creativity in 16 words. Sounds deceptively easy... until you look for the glass. In this four part series on creativity, moving from mayhem to magic in your writing (photography, painting or…

Hmm. This morning, I was thinking to myself that we use too many apps anyways, and now, I'm thinking of building another one. But then, I find myself excited to see what lies ahead. Also, it depends on the time of day. In the mornings, I am more open to screen-time, but by the evening, it gets too much.
“we have survived so many fires, i can no longer tell if we are alive or simply burning.” — Pavana Reddy Letting go is difficult. Of people, dreams or your old self. People who need help often look a lot like people who don’t need help. They seem in control, always with a positive word. Everyone we come across has…
Don’t aim to do the easy things. Don’t aim to think the fastest short cuts Think 3 more seconds - work towards the hardest and the best solution always. Remember to not stuck there In solutions Conversations Presenting yourself to others Body language Be fully aware and be putting 100% Say thank you Take initiative…
Lately I've been thinking a lot about death. I don't find myself subscribing to the notion of heaven/hell or nothingness. They seem like two ends of a spectrum. Believing in heaven/hell implies that there is something to work for, and toward. They act like an inbuilt conscience system. Believing in nothingness is…
