Taking the time and space
It hit me today. The realization didn't hit me like a ton of bricks. (Like some people would say.)
But it did arrive to my conscious awareness.
What am I talking about?
Well, the fact that people don't do that of taking time and space out of their mundane routine.
Like what I can write in the following paragraphs can take around 10 different possible directions.
I could keep writing and make an entire series about this (of 3k words each post.)
But instead of doing that, I'm just going to put it out there in the simplest way.
The great majority of people don't give themselves a break of their routine.
They don't take time to be in a different scenario or environment doing completely different things that what they normally do.
Heck, not even doing something in particular.
They can't even stay in one place doing nothing for at least 30 min.
That's right, doing nothing.
Just being there, existing.
Seeing how the rest of the world moves around from one place to the other.
Most people can't stand to be standing or sitting somewhere without having to default to watch their phones.
Everyone is so overstimulated and now they crave that digital stimulation. Otherwise, withdrawal effects ensue.
Said in another way. The great majority don't have the luxury of boredom.
They run around like chickens with their heads cut off.
Worrying about a myriad of different things.
What else can I say?
Is truly sad to see that out there happening.
In pretty much every scenario I can encounter, I see that.
I guess, it is what it is.
