SELF-SABOTAGE
Subconsciously, we know what we're capable of. We're cognizant of the software code God programmed within us to flourish.
We know what elements make us, us. A unique individual (and perspective) placed into the world to influence others.
We end up afraid of reaching our full potential, each passing moment that we're inches away from greatness.
Like me right now at 2:42am writing this while I fight my eyelids to stay up. This stream of consciousness hit me at this moment for a reason. And to sleep, would be a waste of the muse that has visited me.
We all aspire to be richer, happier, healthier, more attractive, and love(d by many).
Yet we divulge into distraction. Sink into social media. Allow our attention spans to steer the ship. We memorize the coordinates of our path, it's embedded within our DNA... but we get scared. Or we don't care enough.
That's when you're betraying yourself, God, and your family who believes in you.
That shame you carry running away from yourself eats you from within. You end up an empty vessel. Just drifting. Only you know that you're not aligned to the coordinates. Everyone else just sees the shell of you with no regards because it's what they're used to.
We self-sabotage because we feel unworthy.
We know that greatness comes with sacrifice but we'd rather enjoy convenience and embrace the comfortability.
Greatness melts each second you spend within comfort.
That's time sacrificed which you can't retain and with it comes gruesome pain.
The pain of what could've been had you cared about yourself.
Care more. Imperfection is necessary to become legendary.
Love more. Perfect is unattainable but die trying with eyes wide open and turning reality into dreams.
To heal and love oneself scares away sabotage.
