Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
How to get attracted is to be interesting - study the material and know the content Not aiming to play with words or being superficial like looks etc… Be interesting means reading more about it, actually infuse and understand it, being in the moment to joke around You wanted to be original & you don’t want to copy…
Alright, guess the calendar block did not help at all. Let me not bore you with the details of inconsistency. But one of the reason why I start with this is because all around me in social media, everyone seemingly makes habit building a really easy task to achieve. I really want to put my genuine self of struggling…
Is knowing the things but spending time to argue/fight your way through things that don’t matter. Like PS circling round and round the words she chose; trying to prove a point where all of us knew there’s no use Boomer is a derogatory term. Being boomer is a sign of being stupid; not clear of what you wanted to convey…
These past couple of weeks, I’ve been making clay figures with friends, and it has been so entertaining. At first, they were hesitant to try, but with some encouragement, they loosened up, and we ended up having the chillest time—chatting, listening to music, and just enjoying the vibe of doing arts and crafts…
Imagine if a team could share ownership of a company's social media presence without being told what to do and without a huge amount of process or formality getting in the way. The way I see it, a company exists to help people solve a problem. They already have a group of the most qualified people to solve that…
“I’m through with this fuckin war, through with marchin in the dust, through with gettin shot at. I’m done, I’m goin’ home,” spouted Jenkins as he got up from the fire. “Quit bein’ a pussy, ain’t one of us here that don’t wanna be home” countered Carlton. “I ain't no pussy.” “Sure acting like one.” “Evenin’ boys”…
if you start the day with a painkiller, you set yourself up for success i thought i'd preemptively dodge any period cramps today by starting off the morning with a beautiful little glowing blue pill and i am feeling just ok just normal so imagine how i'd feel without it! and i used to resist taking pain killers…
Pari hey. Let’s be real. Are you feeling bad that Shivani is dating Nelson? And if so, why? I think yes, I am. And maybe it’s because I’m feeling like her liking nelson enough to date him is like her taking his side? This person, whom I carry so much grudge and dislike and disrespect for, my own best friend (Who I was…
Is not you’re kaypo about others (Used to think some people are too busybody) But you understand there is such thing called people intelligence And the desire and initiative to know something from the start till the end Understand more Know what is the characteristics and “ability” each person carry Everyone is…
i feel that i have a lot in common with him but whereas he had phase 1: combat loneliness with books (reading and writing) phase 2: self-healing through uncommon means and nonfiction (philosophy, science, miscellaneous) i had the phases in reverse... i had a long cycle of self-healing and then i'm just kinda like wow…
I was other day randomly thinking about the way we spend our time on weekends. We have around 52 weeks in a year and for most of us it is 2 days off so effectively we have 104 days for ourselves. If we take out effectively 2 hours for our productivity schedule in a day on a weekend, then we have around 208 hours to…
Today, I met up with people from my CDTM class, an add-on study program in Munich. These are people I met just a year ago, and catching up with them, it's crazy to see how they’re all doing big things. In this circle, it seems almost normal - but it’s not. I believe a big part of this is being part of the CDTM program…
Barf ka muqaddar hai apne hi paani main pighal jaana.
We don't really know what is actually happening in others peoples lives, lying is so easy, specially when people are far away, you could just not say where or what you are doing and easily fool others. Today, I discovered I was lied to and it just makes me feel uneasy about the other person, kinda lost trust, even if…
Spoilers ahead! Joy/Jobu, a character I resonated with after a long time. The anguish, lost mind, unheard sobs, hopeless eyes and whatever she was made of. I was feeling nothing like her. I felt it when she said "If Nothing Matters, Then All The Pain And Guilt You Feel For Making Nothing Of Your Life Goes Away." The…
think of me like a torch in your hand, a helping light. someone who helps you see through the dark tunnel. but not as someone who latches onto your wrist and pulls you through—without you seeing, without noticing the world as it rushes by. the tunnel is yours, not mine. we are in our own dark tunnels, carrying tools.…
Some of the best ideas are from someone else. In my two years of journaling daily, I’ve been open to trying new prompts. Some prompts are keepers. Others don’t last. My format came from many sources. I journal in the morning and evening. My morning routine, in the order I adopted them into the format. Gratitude - Two…
I procured a taxi driver poster at 18. It followed me everywhere since then, much like loneliness did with De Niro in the same movie. The poster was perhaps a silent token of my acknowledgement of my struggles with loneliness. Upon graduating, presuming that perhaps loneliness would no longer follow me, I left my…
1. my morning walk on the street curved along the beach 2. books. im currently reading "muhammad" (a historical biography; i'm trying to read a historical biography of the "founders" or figureheads of every major religion...so far i've read about jesus and there was not much information to satisfy but this specific…
You can freshen up a habit to make it feel new. Each habit has small variables to manipulate. Small changes can spark new interest or enhance the experience. Take journaling, for example. After journaling for a year, I wanted to add something. I wasn’t in danger of giving up journaling. I didn’t see the harm in…
They say a camel is what you get when you try to design a horse by committee. What do you get when you try to govern by committee? The main idea of democracy is that the state should embody the will of the majority, restrained by a set of laws that protect the rights of individuals. Democracy makes no substantive…
It's Thursday, 26 December. I'm hunkering down at home after yesterday's Christmas gathering, intending to complete my GTD Mind Sweep by the end of the weekend, if not tomorrow. THE IMAGE On Tuesday, 19 November, I rekindled my end of year mind sweep, while at my fave nearby coffeehouse, Cafe 4 -…
Life is simple, but we make it complicated. Life is a like a game, but at times we focus on it too much. Life is exciting, but sometimes we take precautions Life is coming out of your comfort zone, but we are scared of falling into pieces. Life is like dancing in the rain, but we are afraid we might catch a cold. It…
When I was a sophomore in high school, I got pulled aside by my physics teacher after turning in a paper on the internal combustion engine. He asked me who wrote it. "Huh?", I responded, genuinely unsure of what to expect from this interaction. "This paper is far beyond the level of technical detail expected for your…
I recently read an article by the creator of Gumroad, Sahil Lavingia, discussing their work values and how this has influenced Gumroad’s journey (no pun intended). It made me think about what I want for my business as it grows, and what my own values and expectations are. Like Lavingia, I believe in embracing the…
What does photography to me? The answer to this question has evolved over the years. It started off as a creative hobby for self-expression, then competition (because of social media), then back to self-expression, to a business (wedding photography), to documenting daily life, then back to self-expression again.…
Since 2016, or even earlier before Apple introduced just a tab in App Store for Games. I have argued Apple should separate their App Store and Game Store. By continue charging 30% for Games, and rethink the whole model for App Store, they would not have been end up like they are today. Resentment from developers.…
posts in the discover tab only shows posts from 2022, wonder if this platform is still active.
I read every day. It has become automatic so that even in the busiest of days, I will take out the Kindle on my phone and read for 10-20 mins. It is one of those seminal activities that has given me meaning to my life, improved the quality of living. I picked up reading seeing a erudite colleague of mine, which made…
And it rains. Some of the surface water would run off into swales and boomerangs. The soil is arrested. The overflows would then be captured by the recharge wells. The remaining water would slowly infiltrate into earth, trickles into the shallow aquifer. The open wells swell. Some of this water is used for domestic…
Age is just a number Remember you can be young By being in your own skin Treat funny stuffs as funny stuffs Try to light up mood Your job would literally affect who you are as a person Comparing your engineering job to jobs in sales Environment are more light hearted But don’t get affected by your environment Think…
Omfg, seems like something big is happening in La Paz City. === anon8858 I’m still recovering from the shock of the assassination attempt on General Rodriguez. I was there covering the General’s speech for El Subsuelo. This is the most disturbing scene I’ve ever witnessed. The General was arriving at the stage when a…
1331 Just took a walk - no call yet. Bad news would have led to an immediate call, I suspect. Then again, may need time to absorb bad news first. All the worrying you do now won't affect what happens next. 1332
I would have never discovered wonders of a co-working space, had I not started on my own. The hunt for my own office space made me look for options beyond traditional spaces. The real estate in Mumbai is so expensive that anyone with limited finance has no choice but to be imaginative. The pictures of spaces, within…
At the end, we all die. This is not some distant, obscure fact to be filed away in the background. The fact that you will die is here, right now. This is truth. All your sought after money, status, fame, friendship, lovers, kids. It’s all meaningless in the long run. Dust in the wind. It’s okay to be sad about it. But…
Louis Pereira's perceptive post on not trusting intuition reminded me of something. (https://nicheless.blog/post/disregarding-intuition) A dear friend once told me that when someone close - friend, family, colleague - says to him: "read that book, its just your type of writing," or "think about taking up tango…
As a child born in the 70s, along with other Gen X's, we all grew up without social media. In 1984, I remember watching the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games which was being telecast from Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Swamy, our lovely neighbours on the 2nd floor had invited all the children in the apartment complex…
I'm a big fan of Steven Strogatz's writings. He's an applied mathematician with Cornell & has a flair for making you love mathematics. A concept from one of his books - 'Infinite Powers' stuck with me for a while. "You can reach potential infinity but not completed infinity. Unless there's calculus." It's a beautiful…
Woke up around 2:20am feeling impending doom. Worries about taking care of people. Worries about not being able to do what I want. Worries about always being at others' beck & call. Watched some food & self-help videos on YouTube. Got back to bed better listening to train "chu-CHUNK=chu=CHUNK" noises to distract me.…
"What do you think about the Rolex Daytona?", asked my friend. "It's great but I am an Omega person", I replied. "The model in the new 007 movie is truly a piece of art". "It sure is. What do you think about the grey Tom Ford suit Daniel Craig wore in the movie?", I asked. "I think the blue one was better. You should…
"PKM is not so much about creating knowledge but rather the development of conscious regular activities from which new knowledge can emerge." Harold Jarche I am re-taking Jarche's PKMastery 40-day Workshop. I first took the workshop in 2015, which includes access to subsequent workshops as Jarche evolves his material…
looks so much like my cousin that i'm not allowed to have a crush on him but old keanu reeves...
For the past few years, I spend my time working in an ecosystem where colleagues, clients, and donors share concern to bring impactful solutions to improve the life of people who are often excluded socially and economically. We talk about low income segment who earn less, who rely on cash because she/he does not have…
Have you ever thought that creating the life of your dreams was a never-ending process with little to no payoff? It's tempting to look at the facts and conclude that nothing is changing, but what if the apparent lack of change was a test? What if going through dry spells helped you develop the character you needed to…
there was a study with mice where "the mice have a lever that they can press any time they want. When they press the button, a special optical sensor, which controls specific neurons in their brain, activates their dopamine neurons" anyway they pressed the button until they died with no desire of food or drink if…
i have to treat myself like prey because i am loathe to follow the commands of both internal and external expectation, i cannot declare: "this is what i'm going to do today" and follow through the only way i can behave is to stfu about what i'm going to do and just do it. the only way is to say NOTHING AND JUST DO IT.…
