Everything Everywhere All At Once- Joy's version
Spoilers ahead!
Joy/Jobu, a character I resonated with after a long time. The anguish, lost mind, unheard sobs, hopeless eyes and whatever she was made of. I was feeling nothing like her.
I felt it when she said "If Nothing Matters, Then All The Pain And Guilt You Feel For Making Nothing Of Your Life Goes Away."
The self destructive voice and motive spoke to me. She created the bagel to destroy herself.
The feeling of feeling everything but nothing at once. The feeling of feeling atomically small and also cosmically huge all at once. The feeling of not dying but not knowing what to live for. That was Jobu Tupaki. Maybe that was me too for a moment.
My literature professor used to keep talking about this concept during our modernism and post-modernism class. "Everything is nothing. Nothing is everything." It feels validated now.
