To finding happiness
Alright, guess the calendar block did not help at all. Let me not bore you with the details of inconsistency. But one of the reason why I start with this is because all around me in social media, everyone seemingly makes habit building a really easy task to achieve. I really want to put my genuine self of struggling with building habits.
I read a tweet saying destination based happiness is not sustainable. I used to practice meditation and mindfulness (one more habit I suck at these days) and I have all this knowledge about finding happiness, being zen. But seldom was that knowledge absorbed or implemented as a way of life.
But yesterday was one of those rare, very few days in my life where I genuinely felt that I was happy. There are a 1000 fires going on in my life going on currently. Despite all of that, I sat back and reflected how far I have come which then got to me realise that I was actually happy. For someone who is very pessimistic in life and who struggles to give credits to herself, yesterday was a big day in my life.
I recently moved to a home all by myself for the first time in my life. Could my happiness be connected to as simple as establishing a home for myself? Or is it connected to the outcomes of the work I put in myself over the past few months for personal growth? I really hope its the latter. I want to understand what exactly was the tipping point of that personal growth so that I can establish this as a way of life for myself as much as possible. Hopefully that day is near!
Until then, here is to me finding slivers of happiness :)
