Success doesn’t exist
At the end, we all die.
This is not some distant, obscure fact to be filed away in the background. The fact that you will die is here, right now. This is truth.
All your sought after money, status, fame, friendship, lovers, kids. It’s all meaningless in the long run. Dust in the wind.
It’s okay to be sad about it. But don’t put off your grieving. Grieve it now, and accept it, because this desire for permanence, for long-term meaning is not helping anyone, and especially not you. It’s a way of making today subservient to a future day that will never exist.
Let today stand alone. Love it, as it is, right now.
Love people, as they are, right now.
Love your effort, as it is, right now.
Love yourself, as you are, right now.
There’s no other form of love.
