Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
Lunch is in 20 min, Ill study after lunch Ill have to check this up, Ill study after I finish I have to go to the bathroom, after I start small distractions pile up into a big one and at the end nothing is done. set a time and put all the distractions in another room, sit till the time is up.
So, I learned a few things over the weekend. Can anyone from a so-called third-world country like Indonesia guess the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment in New York City? It’s $4,778 per month or roughly IDR 79 million. Holy. Freaking. Airball. For that price, we could probably rent a room in Istana Bogor and…
Lately, the past two weeks, I have been trying to figure out or trying to answer the question "Who am I?". It has been a couple of rough months for me, given a recent unemployment, but, I now have time to slow down, think, and prioritise what are the most important things to me. What I want of my life? What I value?…
It's rarely as bad as you build it up to be. If you have to do more, you'll take it one step at a time. Your dad may NOT have been wanting to tell you about your mother's heart attack. All you can control is how you feel and what you do. 0856
Casey Neistat moved back to NYC in September and started putting out YouTube videos again. His recent videos all center around the chaotic rawness of NYC. We see a place brimming of energy. It's buzzing. It's shaking. The people are all main characters. You watch the videos, and you can't help but fall in love with…
I do like the restraint. I do enjoy the anonymity. I do love writing. Think I’ll stay and play a while.
I've been living in Singapore for a few years now. It's amazing to how advanced this city is. Coming back to the city, after a trip to smaller towns in Asia, feels like time travel. If you want a glimpse into what the future could look like, visit Singapore. Once the sense of awe subsides - it does keep coming back…
I tossed out an essay ready to publish. It was no better or worse than my usual essays. It may have even drawn a few more likes and comments than usual. The topic was wrong for me. The essay was negative. I decided my writing I publish needs to focus on the positive. I don’t have time for negativity. Every day I write…
In the past, I struggled so much to fall asleep. Every night was a real-life nightmare, with my brain refusing to shut down and winding up in all these hypothetical scenarios that brought me anxiety. But strangely, that doesn’t happen when I read before going to bed. Reading before sleeping, apart from making my eyes…
Is beauty an end? In a sense, yes. Pure beauty offers no new information; it resonates with what we already know, this is why we find it beautiful. Beauty refines our neuroverse-based abstract model, sharpening our understanding, in an infinite quest for micro-optimising the model, but eventually leading to stasis.…
A while back at a public event, I saw a guy with a shirt that had a design with those words (it was a cool design btw). It was one of those moments that you are like "ohhh, cool shirt" and that's it. But the phrase got stuck in my head, so much so that later on, I wrote a note on my cellphone. With everything I've…
I don't know yet how this platform works but will slowly see and explore if it fits to what I was looking for.
It’s been an illuminating and fun journey. Now at 613, I’m taking a 2-week break. That’s 613 atomic essays written and published since June 2021. I wrote and published daily until essay 500. Then I started taking the weekends off. In addition to essays, I’ve developed a journaling habit. Daily gratitude followed by 20…
Elon Musk said: "Love is the way, no matter what." For a man with four wives and twelve children, it may seem easy to say such a thing, but after giving it solid thought, he is true. Love is an intrinsic craving for every individual; if you were to ask anyone, they would undoubtedly recount their experiences with…
Some need coffee to stay awake daily. Some don't. And some like me, can drink coffee and stay awake, yet quit and not feel sleepy. However, recently, when I go back to drinking coffee, I find my naps light and shallow and my sleep at night disturbed. They are just not as deep as not drinking coffee. So a thought just…
i am thinking of writing fan letters to my favorite authors. what do you think? i'm thinking of specifically: - megan boyle - i would like to say: i love your sense of humor, i love that you expanded my beliefs about what a "book" is and opened my tiny tiny mind up to the world of possibilities - jordan castro - a…
lately i've felt like time is compressed. or rather, it's malformed. it's not passing normally, is what i'm trying to say, i guess. i'm incredibly busy yet feel like i don't have much to show for it. most of it feels like a constant battle to keep up with gestures at everything it's too much sometimes. most of the…
the most sexy people is people who knows what they’re doing Doing what’s important to them and achieving them Not by watching others living their lives, that’s very unsexy Doing what you loved to do And doing it is kinda sexy and it happens by doing And by doing you need discipline That’s why you gotta protect your…
I didn't sell enough in the last cycle. I made too many long-term bets on projects that have not (🤞🏻yet🤞🏻) captured attention this cycle. Cardano, Polkadot, Cosmos, Ripple & Polygon, primarily. My thesis was that these are long-term projects/investments, and while most of them are in profit from where I bought, I…
Used to think about the future. The past. The things I’ve not done. I should be doing this not that. But you used to forgotten that - if you keep worrying about You’re missing out on something that might add up to the pile - the PRESENT! The moment. Never be anxious by controlling yourself, your mindset If you still…
Do not have a backup plan Try things more radical Drop out or do something that is more extreme You’ll perform better Just trust your ability of your brain You’ll be surprised where that would take you And I think you found it by being an archi coordinator in K You did achieve amazing things by trusting yourself Don’t…
When there is pink and gray in a sunset, the pink stands out because of the contrast. On a cloudy day after a sunny one, we might not always appreciate the clouds, but after days of rain, a single cloudy day with no rain feels like a gift. Why can't we enjoy it as it is, feeling fortunate for a cloudy day, which has…
I received the death news of a close relative today. For a moment I was speechless as the end of life has been the single most mysterious truth for me. It's the ultimate inevitability that makes life so precious. We acquire all the survival skills in the journey of life to meet death one day. It's also the ultimate…
Let me hold you a little longer Let me pretend you're mine to keep Let me tell you " I Love You " ever and forever again.
Used to feeling all sorts of weak emotions Feeling anxious when going out Feeling uncomfortable when meeting new people Feeling not wanting to go out Not able to wake up fully and stay on bed Not able to get over my ex or feeling sorry for myself for not doing the best It’s because I was weak And now I’m stronger…
Monsoon, a season of rains. Its brings with itself a celebration, A season when you feel relaxed just with the sound of pitter patter when it hits the ground. A season of treat to watch peacock dance A season when the air is ripe with the earthy smell which feels so divine. A season that teach the art of letting go…
My initial reaction was to hammer out an email to put my new financial advisor in his place. I took a deep breath. I needed to get home to my journal to gain clarity. Before I began journaling daily other extreme emotions caused extreme reactions. I struggled to contain my immediate response, even those I might…
Such a stupid word, really. Disappointment. According to Oxford, "sadness or displeasure caused by the nonfulfillment of one's hopes or expectations." While I've never enjoyed the spotlight during recognition of accomplishments, even birthdays, I learned pretty recently how greatly disappointed I feel when my…
People have the habit of writing at the end of a digital document. However, it's a just a behavior carried over from physical world of writing on a paper. You can't come back later and decide to add more paragraphs at the top of a letter you've already written. But in digital documents, there is no such limitation,…
Now that PaLM 2 is going to run a GPT4ish model on my Pixel, I wonder if there's the same need for a bulky laptop. I mean, I can code with Replit. I can use ChatGPT from my phone and that will have a code interpreter released broadly soon, along with a diverse ecosystem of plugins that enable web browsing, reading up…
The dark elf is a political type. He (and it's almost always a he) is a member of the privileged class, either by birth or by wits. All the opportunities for success were made available to him. The social graces, mannerisms, and noble lies of the elite were inculcated in him from a young age. All of the social…
All what we did was based on subconscious…? -B Consciousness is just a self-explanation to our actions/behaviour? Doesn’t mean that your fate is set - whatever experiences you faced is the subconscious that decides on what you’re already taken And your conscious mind is the aftereffects Humans have emotions and that…
I first learned the word blasphemy in sixth grade, when I carried a laptop of one brand in a case embroidered with the logo of another. "Isn't that blasphemy?" a teacher joked. I asked him what that meant. I don't remember the exact explanation, but I do remember his tone being flippant. Blasphemy is one of those…
there is no such thing as a promiscuous man unless he's gay but my question to society is: is it so bad to be promiscuous? can we treat it as another form of adventurousness? you know what is bad? unhappy marriages abusive relationships we push people to be in relationships so much that we forget that most of us are…
I am immensely grateful to have my mother, whose unconditional love provides me with constant support and comfort. Knowing that someone in this world loves me so deeply and unconditionally is a huge blessing that enriches my life every day.
Weird huh. They always say fall in love young. I did. And I screwed up. There must be something wrong me with me. I think I secretly enjoy the tragedy of a lost relationship. Sick I know. I'm just psychoanalyzing myself. All those years invested into relationships with nothing to show for it in the end. Just a broken…
Ahh powerful moments in history are not the creations of what we make now. it is the evolution of conversation around the creations that dictate what makes history...
Maturity is you know how to 守 not just 攻. You don’t need to keep replying the guys who have bad intention to you. Don’t make yourself the victim And just do you Be interesting
Writing a weekly newsletter is challenging and energizing. But two? That's a different animal. As i continue this 100-day project -- writing content, art, formatting, frequency, whether or not to offer paid subscriptions and etc -- it suddenly occurs to me i still have to write content for my weekly,…
My eldest cousin took me out to a handful of football matches in 2015. He had come back from his masters in the UK and I was extremely delighted to go watch football with him. I enjoyed and loved hanging out with him. I don't remember much about what we did and some of the tiny details but I remember how I felt. I…
My son eyes aren't teaming properly. They create blurry images. To compensate his brain shuts off his weak eye and overloads his dominant eye. This knock-on effects are reading fatigue, inability to stay focused, etc. We may have scratched this up to ADHD and sought medication. Thankfully, my wife kept pulling the…
Jack in Titanic Doesn’t care how rich Rose is Every phase of Jack’s life there is a best version to live the life There’s no point worrying and feeling self abasement for yourself Work towards it & there’s a way to live out of poverty Feeling bad is just the easy way It doesn’t mean you stop being someone caring…
I think I've got the right principles Thought of the idea right - but the way I conveyed it to people is not eloquent enough. i.e haven't think things through like Aaz Today was the day I rejected being a directorship with G I still firmly believe I did the right thing & I felt relieved. However, it's just the way I…
(The following is a RP entry from the perspective of my Project Zomboid character, again) I'm a bit scared right now to be honest. Today I was doing the usual looting and found a police station; Jackpot! I thought... and indeed I won the lottery of guns, after clearing 2 floors of zombies I got to the lockers and…
