congratulations! there's a new kid on the block.
My eldest cousin took me out to a handful of football matches in 2015. He had come back from his masters in the UK and I was extremely delighted to go watch football with him. I enjoyed and loved hanging out with him. I don't remember much about what we did and some of the tiny details but I remember how I felt. I always felt happy to know that there is this elderly figure with whom I can have fun and go out. Years before that I remember playing cricket with him, going to get pizza with him, going to bowling with cousins (I couldn't lift the ball). I have memories of playing fifa with him and pretending to sleep walk in his room. I also saw him get angry at me for the first time during this period. Somewhere after all of this, I grew older and the distance between us grew.He went on to get married. I remember when his fiancé (now wife) came home for the first time and I ran away because I was too nervous and shy to meet both of them.I was excited for their wedding, it was my first "cousin's wedding". I recall awkwardly like a shy yet overly enthusiastic kid waving at him saying bye when he was on stage during the reception. It's been four years since then and last night he became a father. I was emotional, still am, because my eldest brother just had a child. I got to see him today. I couldn't stop smiling, I hope I can do everything , my brother did for me, for him. Maybe through this, I'll re-connect with my eldest cousin. I wish I could be half as good as brother as he was to me.
