Is our gut bacteria the difference?
Some need coffee to stay awake daily. Some don't. And some like me, can drink coffee and stay awake, yet quit and not feel sleepy.
However, recently, when I go back to drinking coffee, I find my naps light and shallow and my sleep at night disturbed.
They are just not as deep as not drinking coffee.
So a thought just came to my mind: could it be the difference between my gut bacteria and that of others that made us metabolize coffee differently?
If so, then many standardized health recommendations and tips might need to be re-assessed on each's body.
Why?
Because our different gut bacteria will mean this health tip that has helped John might not help Alice as much.
Instead of thinking there's a problem with Alice, maybe she just need to find the right diet to fit her gut bacteria's metabolism.
