A Writing Habit Adapts to Your Circumstance
It’s been an illuminating and fun journey.
Now at 613, I’m taking a 2-week break.
That’s 613 atomic essays written and published since June 2021. I wrote and published daily until essay 500. Then I started taking the weekends off.
In addition to essays, I’ve developed a journaling habit. Daily gratitude followed by 20 to 30 minutes of free journaling helps my mindset set each day.
I’m going on a vacation.
You won’t see daily publishing on Twitter. If you fear withdrawal from reading my writing, check my weekly newsletter on Substack.
I’ll still be journaling. I’ll also be writing in my travel journal.
I’ve kept a travel journal for 20 years, even before I considered myself a journaler. This is a journal for anyone to read.
When traveling, I like to document the sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and feels of a new place. It’s a way to remember experiences, people, and impressions.
That’s the great thing about a writing habit. It adapts to your circumstance.
Daily writing is a habit that serves you in whatever capacity you need.
Over the next two weeks, I’ll be using my writing habit to collect souvenir memories of a trip that has been planned for a while.
I’m excited for another kind of fun journey.
