Love reflected back
Casey Neistat moved back to NYC in September and started putting out YouTube videos again.
His recent videos all center around the chaotic rawness of NYC. We see a place brimming of energy. It's buzzing. It's shaking. The people are all main characters. You watch the videos, and you can't help but fall in love with New York City.
NYC stands alone. But I think we fall in love because Casey is in love. His eyes see the city with awe and wonder. So he films the city with awe and wonder. So he chooses and edits the city with awe and wonder. So the story he tells is with awe and wonder. It's all love, and the end result, is a full-on love letter that we're witness to.
Love in the eye of the beholder. How lucky for New York City to be loved by Casey and so many of us. How lucky is he to love such a thing. And how lucky and cool is it for us to experience a fraction of that filtered love through the lover's lens.
