Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
i'm trying to understand what it is that i so admire in a person i will name people i admire and see if i can spot a pattern: (1) M - truly conceited - has a dream, has a plan (and carries it out, somewhat) - content - telepathic understanding (2) H - truly conceited - has many dreams, many plans (AND CARRIES THEM…
before i left italy, i was perfectly content. now that i've been to indonesia for 2 months, i am so fucking bored back in italy. my life in italy before we left consisted of: - friends (who are now kind of scattered) - books but half the books i was about to read are about tiny north american problems which seem so…
Went to watch the movie PS1 with mom, asish and venky. Had a lot of fun, and I’m glad I could take mom out that way. Had a nice time today. Asish and venky were so cute and were indulging mom and her stories She took us around some nice heritage places in Vizag

Around Christmas every year, I trawl through The Guardian and NYT best books of the year lists. Then, there's a visit to the bookshop and a supplementary Amazon order. The Guardian's 2021 list of best crime books included a review of Riccardino, by the late Italian author Andrea Camilleri, who I hadn't heard of…
Sometime in the mid-noughties, heavy downloads of video files were spotted by Trilegal's IT department. The firm was still small, with a fragile internet connection. Emails and internet access had slowed down - something had to be done. The Head of IT was asked to investigate. He called back, short of breath. "Sir,…
no yeah i definitely think of myself as an artist. &i like how matty healy talks about his music as "art" and not as "music" like most musicians do matty healy is attractive to me in a special way, like i like his...personality
Crossing the threshold into tranquility. Silence. Figures reading, learning, absorbing. You tread lighter than usual. Paces slower. A softness of the feet as a sign of respect to the literature. A wave of colour greets you. Blinding brightness, as you search for familiarity. A name, a face, a feeling. Row by row of…
Hi. My name is Artamon and I’m a hoarder. Hi Artamon. I thought I knew what I was doing. I thought I had a plan and a process. I was wrong. I need help. We got you. Overly dramatic? Perhaps. Accurate? 100% so. Every time I come across an article, a twitter post or a YouTube video that I think I want to read later, I…
Maybe you shouldn’t be affected by how others treat you You need to be big enough Still smile to them To L, to the Myanmar engineer who is rude Make eye contact and smile - say hi morning, things like that Don’t be rude just because others are That makes you reactive - and only initiative people tends to get success…
Geralmente eu escrevo…
Be a doer, not ‘JUST’ a thinker 道理: 做/最有效率 - 头脑冲刺 别想 - 做 不做无谓的事情 Acting like the best man in the room Best thing to do - think - ACT! (Reputation matters: for competency. But humanity & symphathy makes it charismatic ✨) Click:: Jump!:: (Remove past thoughts):: Think-forward:: G O! ::think of everything deep::…
running away is easy. you can run away from problems. you can run away from solutions. you can run away from reality. you can run away from delusion. you can run away from love. you can run away from hate. running away from anything is easy because you're afraid of stopping. you're afraid of stopping one day and…
A lot of people likes to use the above graph and article to show how hard drive continue to fall. If you Zoom out over long enough period of course if will look fine. But if we look from 2013, where HDD price was slightly bumped up due to Thailand flooding, we saw price /GB went from $0.04 to $0.015 in 10 years time.…
Do people become responsible because they are given responsibilities, or must they first demonstrate their worthiness before being granted the right to exercise judgment? The question seems tautological. How is one supposed to demonstrate his worthiness to carry the burden of responsibility without being burdened with…
Today, I went to the mall with my nephews and cousins. In the toy section, the kids' eyes widened with a spark of excitement. As I looked at the toys, I started to see things that were so cute but useless, and I found myself wanting them too. My mom bought my nephew a huge box of Pokémon cards. I thought, "You already…
I was watching this movie Ford v Ferrari, and at almost 3/4th of the movie, when Christian Bale was describing what an ideal lap looks like to his son, and his son, he looks at him with the utmost fascination. And it suddenly hit me, what if our passions are exactly what our parents loved doing? If you love doing…
- playfulness of thought / intellectual playfulness - freedom of thought - privilege of pointlessness
One of my guiding principles for inner work is “let everything be”. If you feel angry, let yourself feel angry. If you feel sad, let yourself feel sad. If you feel bored, let yourself feel bored. It’s the resistance to these feelings that causes problems. Or in buddhist terminology, this resistance is tanha: a wish…
Control: it’s such a strong power. Control your mouth when you don’t feel like saying. Be calm and composed like water. Control your mind when it comes to hardship or when you think of the wrong thing. That’s the difference between you & Bryan - and being a leader takes alot of this character. It’s not a sign of being…
I do like the restraint. I do enjoy the anonymity. I do love writing. Think I’ll stay and play a while.
Sometimes you come across a pair that is clearly very close to each other. Observing them interact, it's unclear who is taking care of whom. The daughter still seeks to impress and seek validation, while showing her mother how things are done. The mother still instructs, but also follows instructions, probably…
There are many blogs and podcasts on failure. They're by people who are successful. There are many stories of miraculous pregnancies having carried through. Women share these experiences after having gone through each long day and week of their pregnancy and share these stories in hindsight. Not many people write…
I will need to pull out a history book to understand the how and why of how women's nails became a social symbol. My virgo nature, as I write this, makes me want to understand the cosmetic industry, the inventions of why only women got an opportunity to be creative when it come to coloring their nails. I will reserve…
Is it fucked to think that If you want to get attracted TO other person The first thing to do is to be attractive yourself (girls trying to be pretty; guys trying to make money) Then you’ll attract people who WANTS it (kinda fucked up to think people you attracted will be lesser than you) Be a great story teller, a…
We often romanticize the quiet. We take holidays away from noisy cities and plug in earphones to cut out the noise in our surroundings. It creates a sense of focus-the quiet. We seek quietude through meditation and exercise. Sleeping well is one of the other ways we get a sense of quiet. But I often feel we avoid the…
Fitness fads come and go. Depending on who one talks to or what one reads, the recommended exercise routine for adults keeps changing. The latest one doing the rounds is the importance of sprint and interval training and the photograph is from a recent session. 30 minutes on the treadmill with eight sprints timed…
This will likely happen many times over. I'm not necessarily building towards something, which makes this pseudo-habit hard to complete. Which brings up an interesting thought for me: am I conditioned to do things if and only if it leads or builds towards something? I definitely have this mindset these days. While not…
i dust the dirt off myself, as i walk up the course, under the light of the sky, glowing with the stars. i reach the ridge and set my eyes free, to roam from the moon above to the plain lands beneath. the breeze closes my eyes, my hands run through my hair. the book under my elbow gets pleasantly risen in the air i…
Ahh! sometimes an image is enough to communicate, look at it. what do you read from my mind...
These areas may be stand-alone, aligned, interplay, or coalesced with others and represent how I show up in the world. What I choose to do (and not do) is rooted in how I identify the external world in context of my values and strengths. R|CAT (Resource Catalysts) aka FLYWHEEL role: CONSULTANT ... business owner…
1. music -- sometimes music can be punishing ("public" music...the kind you can't shut off at will) but music is a blessing when i'm doing boat work. i've found that the only type of boat work i can really do and the kind that i sort of enjoy is the kind that requires merely the possession of my body, and that leaves…
Running is my way of meditating. When I run, my mind enters a state of calm and focus. My breathing becomes my tempo. Running gives me space away from the digital world. It gives me space away from people. When I run, I feel my body energize — each muscle of mine gets into gear. I feel the sweat almost have a…
I‘m really bad at finishing something significantly earlier than the deadline. One reason for that is procrastination - I just need this hard deadline in order to get going. I work best under pressure. Another reason is perfectionism. Often, I just can’t stop overthinking and fine-tuning something. Thus can be a good…
While visiting Copenhagen, she asked a local man how one finds parking. The man explained the process: write the time of arrival on a sheet of paper, place it against the window facing outwards, and that way the the attendant will know that you haven't overstayed your allotted time. "But what if I just write a time…
When AI model get faster and better, any implementation details are just a form of premature optimisation. They constrain AI to our understanding of a domain and limit its ability to operate independently. Tell the system what to look for and what doing that well means, and then get out of the way. When building AI…
I’m sitting in a cabin in Port Austin, Michigan, the very tip of the thumb. I woke up to the sounds of the lake, small waves crashing ashore beneath our back porch. Every few seconds, another crash. I could feel my body sway with the tide as it crashed in and rolled out, crashed and rolled, crashed and rolled. My…
Who am I? Well I'm just a kid, clueless about life and where I'm going to end up in this chaotic world. You can call me Sreeram, I sure go by many nicknames which let's not get into. What am I doing here? I don't know honestly. I guess I have a lot to say which may come in my later posts. You could say I'm more…
I don't even know Why am I here HE didn't tell me Just left me in fear To figure it out For myself Without making sure That it is all clear This is not fair In any which way What else is to be done Someone who knows Please come And quickly tell me The direction to be taken Whether to go This way or that one This is…
When we spotted her garden from far away we were theorising on what could be growing. One of her family members spotted us leaf and drain inspectors. They rolled their eyes and made way for Ajita kakima to take charge. The matriarch introduced all the trees like her old friends. There was jamun, mango, banana,…
aren't you afraid, that you'll get so good at controlling your emotions, that you'll become impervious to pleasure?
I rather enjoy making my brain twist and turn, to make it work, to give it the muscle shock, and say: "Hey! Dummy! Wake up! It's time for you to get back to growing." Off the top of my head, I would say learning a new language, learning bridge or chess, and now, playing the piano. As a creature of habit, and shallow…
Indian hospitals are choatic by nature. When something is build to cater to such a larger number of customers, the quality is bound to take a hit. At least, that's the justification we all come to believe in. It is a chaotic mess of patients, their family, security guards, nurses and doctors, all trying to coexist and…
We're always optimising that we lose the ability to really enjoy any moment. We are always trying to see, "How can I get the most of this moment". If you look at Efficiency as a formula = Value out of this moment / Time spent on this moment. Then we have begun to optimise for both = Getting most value, whilst spending…
Forget your brand for a minute. Think of your personal life, and your own friend circle. Now you obviously don't meet all of them every single day. You probably live close to a few and end up meeting them more often, some you might call for coffee meet ups, one might be your perfect shopping buddy, and some might be…
my original blogs have scores of posts written over the years. consolidated now on wordpress after a mid-stay at medium, it's a very haphazard collection mostly surrounding themes like, not surprisingly, human misery, love, heartbreak, and philosophy. i told a friend i am pursuing masters in philosophy and he said,…
