I almost forgot to do this
This will likely happen many times over.
I'm not necessarily building towards something, which makes this pseudo-habit hard to complete.
Which brings up an interesting thought for me: am I conditioned to do things if and only if it leads or builds towards something?
I definitely have this mindset these days. While not extreme, I am slightly obsessed with the idea of maximizing my time and life. I want to specifically highlight the word --> idea
As much as I like to think I maximize my time, my phone tells me that I end up spending upwards of 6-8 hours on it. I KNOW that I'm not being productive on my phone - you can tell by my snickering and giggling at all the silly things I find on the internet. That being said, I like the idea that I am working toward something, when in fact I often am not.
I may expand on this later, but for now I'll ponder more on this question: what is my goal in writing on this blog/app? Is it to build an audience? Build a side hustle? (two phrases and ideas I've been overly obsessed with lately).
Is it to impress someone? I have like 1 follower right now, so I suppose I write for them.
I am blabbering. I guess my underlying question is this: is it worth doing something, even if you are not entirely sure what the purpose of the thing is?
My quick answer is: absolutely! I do lots of things that have no real benefit to me or society.
My honest answer is: yes, BUT my thoughts, behaviors, and actions say otherwise. I count it a waste if I don't feel productive.
Was this a waste of time?
