Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
This morning, I realized that we're already more than halfway through the year. It's crazy how quickly time passes, and each year it only seems to accelerate. As children, a single school year or a summer break felt like an eternity. Now, days and months slip by in the blink of an eye. Casey Neistat brilliantly…
so this is basically my first time writing here I have written some small things here an there thought of giving a try here too so i want to start a process or it will be my theme where i will be writing something once in a weekend in a way where ill be asking questions or your opinions about some of my thoughts or my…
(i've been laying on the yoga mat pouring out all of these thoughts because i guess they must come out) THINGS THAT I WOULD ANHIMMELN ABOUT ME, IF I WEREN'T ME: (anhimmeln is a gorgeous word. an. himmel. to the sky. to the heavens. to divinity.) - can speak 5 languages - good-looking. and very good-looking if i try (i…
I'm honestly so relieved that application season is finally over (at least for now). I submitted my financial aid essays just a few days ago, and it feels like I can finally breathe. For months, I was constantly anxious, trying to juggle work and essays at the same time--which, as it turns out, is really hard. Now I…
Now its 2024. Vibe coding is here. Its like telling the computer to make what you want - mobile app, web app etc and it will create for you. You do need to know some basics and sometimes a lot more than basics depending on what your idea needs to come out and feel alive. Even I, I am also learning this. I am vibe…
I'm guilty of doom surfing. I spend most of my time on StreamRing... you know the drill: press the 'Random' button and watch people from all over the globe trying to get famous. This is what I do while having dinner. The other day I got a weird one: An anon account streaming an old computer showing just text. Well,…
I'm talking about structures - more specifically incentive structures. Politics, economies, sports teams, companies are all driven by incentives Those that set up well calibrated incentive structures are the most successful That's why capitalism (with regulation to account for self-centeredness of humankind) works so…
After watching the live feed for hours, I managed to find this post which seems to be a direct response to the previous one: === anon0330 I’m not a guy who writes long posts. But I have to respond to the holier-than-you post circulating the other day. People who condemn los Raznos seem to conveniently ignore how the…
should i or should i not also go for a little run tbh i should not because it's "good" for me though it def is but because i know how good it feels HONESTLY PUTTING ON SHOES IS THE HARD PART. AND THEN IT'S EASY. // what a great run came back and i vacuumed i feel thoroughly warm now i want to drink tea and shower…
ironic isn't it? the things we run from loom near like shadows, inescapable contorted and twisted into new forms sometimes even be mistaken for something new entirely no use in trying to run - instead delaying the inevitable power drawn from denial of its existence a brief respite, just enough to get by what's the…
Most people want to be free. But being free is hard. The moment you have FREEDOM, there will be: - Nobody to blame, but YOU. - Nobody responsible for anything, but YOU. It's hard. That's why the majority of us trade freedom for safety and certainty.
The warmth of the sun, the warmth of a hug and the warmth of someone's action, all these things had made my day full of happiness and love, I so lucky to be able to feel and glad to of being aware of the little things (or at least I try).
I took this picture last year as we were walking on our way to the Mukteshwar Temple in Uttrakhand. The pathway leading to the temple was full of vendors selling their farm produce. Many emphasized the fact that these products were grown organically without the use of pesticides, which was the main reason we stopped…
Happy holloween, a day to entertain our hearts with exciting fright and terror. Humans are weird. I think I mispelled a word or two, probably more as I go write along, but hey, who says I can't be dumb on a spooky day. I habitually nervously scratch my nose as I gather and piece together my scattered thoughts. Do I…
I'm not saying I have OCD and ADHD, but it takes me an hour to walk from my bedroom to my kitchen.
I'm grateful for people in my past. They are influences in my life who helped me shape the person who I am today - good and bad. Off late, I have been consciously choosing to focus on and spend MORE time on people who I have a common future with rather than those who I have a common past with. It's easy to get stuck…
coming from the fertile goddess that is indonesia -- where you spit on the ground and your saliva grows into a giant beanstalk -- back to the arid desert that is italy, i'm thinking: why are we deforesting biodiverse gems of the earth? why don't we farm more seriously in barren places like most of the "1st world"?…
Sometimes I wonder what kind of life we all are actually living, are we truly happy with ourselves right now or it just a façade to just get by. Sometimes I wonder what we are truly afraid of, is it fear of rejection, fear of alienation by our peers or fear of showing weakness, because for me being vulnerable with…
How do you convince a community to move to a new platform? Don't disregard ease of use and UI polish. Sites like Mastodon and Counter.Social may have all the functionality that Twitter does, but if they do it's buried under interfaces that seem almost proud of their functional obscurity. You can't get in your users'…
Hoje eu precisei acionar um familiar pra me ajudar com as demandas de um outro familiar. Porque as pessoas resistem tanto à terapia? Muita coisa séria resolvida com um simples sim. Estou bastante desgastada. Ainda bem que minha psicóloga volta hoje. Só alegria! Ainda estou internada e veio um medico especialista em…
5pm, sometime in March in the year 2000. Six young men sat on the floor of a sparsely furnished living room in a flat in Bandra. They had spent the past few days working out the details of how to structure their new law firm. That firm needed a name. And there was a flight to catch. We had agreed that the firm would…
Immediately after learning about NFTs, my mind shifted to the implications the "own-able internet" would have on platforms, and the way individuals interact online. Then after meeting Evin, learning about verifiable credentials, and bridging technical solutions to many of the questions I'd deemed unanswerable years…
Just do everything perfectly. Once at a time. Conversations - throw away the unimportant bits. Be clear - tell yourself be clear Even when you got into shit situations Find one way to go out You are good at doing that You need to improve To be better at doing the task while doing though Don’t get stuck at previous…
I miss reading. It's been a while. It's hard to find time to start, and hard to stop recalling other things now in the middle of it, once I do. I miss learning things, the traditional, institutional way, ha. As in, at school, with books and teachers and papers. The constant input and feedback, the focus on you, when…
i'm doing insurance claim stuff and i thought about what to name the folder where i'm gathering all my receipts and i named it what it is, "consequential damage" but then it struck me as somehow poetic and badass and very usable for an artistic project.
I recently read an article by my fav blogger/idol/human Lawrence on finality of everything (look it up, it's a gem). Here's an excerpt from that- 'Understanding the finality of everything brings a clarity that only a wiser version of myself can see. If I know that one day I’ll long for the very things I routinely…
There are roughly 2 kinds of societies in the world today. The first which puts the society before self and the second which does the opposite. Typically, eastern cultures demonstrate the former and western cultures demonstrate the latter. It's hard to compare the two as they both have their upsides and downsides, but…
your wife wakes up. opens the curtain. looks at you sleep. i imagined how you would look when sleeping. i don't know how i look when sleeping. i imagine do you smile when she brushes her hand on your cheek. i think you do. she makes good breakfast, doesn't she? i don't make breakfast. does she ground you? does it feel…
Blogs on what I learn or what appeals to me. Read on a topic over a single day and then write, unassisted (except for quotes), at the end of the day. The goal is to develop concise and coherent communication skills. Feel free to drop a text if you have something more to offer on a topic. Let's see where we get with…
You don’t need computer animation to experience morphing. You know what I'm talking about when a human gradually turns into an animal or an alien. One of the cool features of watching sci/fi or fantasy on film is watching the morphing. I watched my daily writing habit morph over the past eighteen months. Ok, my…
Listen to more podcast. W.o.w just Be more accepting. The charismatic people are usually competent - but doesn’t necessarily means JUST smart. It means knowing the stuff but knowing how to convey as well. It’s good to have the ability to stop 🛑 1. 2. 3. But within these 3 seconds you’re actually buying time to…
Waiting rooms at hospitals and Doctors clinics are possibly a place where a clock or contraption that measures time, don't have much use. A minute on a clock vis a vis a minute from when the Doctor reads your report on her / his screen and shares the results with you, seem much longer than a minute. While the clock…

last night i slept worse than i have in months. i mean i’ve been sleeping like shit since we landed on this rock but last night the pain just took over me. the night before, i snuck out on my own to see if I could figure out what the orb was composed of. i thought, if i could just get close enough to chip off a shard…

Have you thought of how bad you wanted this all to be? You went to the MRT and actually despise people who conforms Like you have to skip and wait for the next train Because the train is actually full Full of people you don’t want to be in Don’t want to mix and squeeze with them 80% of the fucking population Hated…
To be as close to being 100% authentically yourself as possible. It's a small observation that I've seen in any domain that I really dabbled into. When I was in cegep and was pretty big into fashion, you would always start copying others, but the goal was always to "find your own style." To know what you love wearing…
Do you dream of being a daily journaler? You may have the first two steps mastered, leaving just one more action to make your dream come true. Five years ago, I took on a job that required me to up my task management. I turned to Bullet Journaling. Each morning, I listed tasks to be completed. It worked like a charm.…
Most of my disappointments arise from from poor expectations. It's true that material things will probably not make you happy but with non-material things, I feel the reason behind many disappointments is wrong expectations in the first place. Here are some examples You start a job and over time you're unhappy with…
Growth is a function of experimentation; when you stop testing new ways of doing things, you stop growing. -Omar Itani I was waiting in a coffee shop when I discovered Itani’s newsletter, “The Optimist.” The above quote jumped out at me. Newly retired, I was in the coffee shop, optimistically experimenting with ways…
I used to be a man who wanted to go into women's toilets. This wasn't a gender identity issue and I'm not a pervert. This had to do with the fact that I am the father of four daughters, who were once small girls. The default position on fathers taking their daughters to a public toilet is that they should go together…
True. To be attractive & meaningful & charismatic Put other people first. Always. Not pleasuring them though
So many excuses to not create. I need to take a leap of faith. Pounce onto the challenge with hunger. To act with conviction, not just ponder.
I think some way or other people are connected. they always stay connected maybe not physically maybe not socially and even not mentally but you just have the instinct in you that you miss this person but somehow you have this gut feeling of what they have been doing or if something serious takes place in their life.…
Yesterday, while at the grocery, a teenage stocker complimented my glasses. It tickled me. She looked at me with her bright young face and told me my glasses were cute. of course, they sit on a 65-year-old face. Then we talked about choosing new frames. The exchange was gratitude worthy, but it isn't in my journal. I…
reading Holzfällen after reading "the Novelist" by Jordan Castro is a special experience. it is like the same book.
