Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
Live every moment bits of it Do not miss Not through the phone Live through everything Be young & fun & experiencing Do what you want to do by actually doing not “avoiding” on phone Be fun - AND ENERGETIC! Only difference between the young soul and the old soul is the energy levels
Enfim, seguimos.…
can i turn my whole body, my whole being into a receptacle of love? i realized that fundamentally, the love you feel for your grandpa or dog or best friend or first hs crush or matt healy...is all the same. fundamentally, love is intense. love is enjoyable. love is PEAK PLEASURE. love is ADORATION. love is "oh you are…
Humans are weird, they kill each other for a thing that brings people together .Now unlike Stranger Things , this thing isn't so strange . In Fact it is quite common all around the world. That thing is religion. Religion was supposed to bring peace , hope and harmony among people . Now unlike our mouth, there are many…
Sometimes I wonder what kind of life we all are actually living, are we truly happy with ourselves right now or it just a façade to just get by. Sometimes I wonder what we are truly afraid of, is it fear of rejection, fear of alienation by our peers or fear of showing weakness, because for me being vulnerable with…
Just learning the lay of the land for now. Gotta learn the rhetorical exigencies, ya know.
There was an interesting discussion on Hacker News (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33675503) about burnout, which spawned some reflection within me. The comment that really got me thinking, was a user that wrote that for him, burnout had not occurred in the periods with the highest pressure or workload. But in…
Journaling can help you make that change in your life. You can tap into one or more of these five strategies. Knowledge of self Mindset Positive Affirmations Processing Thoughts and Reflection But where do you start? The magic of journaling is it doesn’t matter. Journal what you feel. Ask yourself these questions: Do…
I started this year, finding out my supposed boyfriend had a pregnant finace. It was a nasty experience, but I had to forgive myself and forgive him to forge ahead.
The only thing that bores me more than my opinion is yours. I haven't heard a new take or a hot take in more than 20 years. Most of my takes are bargain basement off the shelf opinions that I hold true -- I think? -- not because I believe them but because of some delusional image I have of myself. I am not the only…
For two hours, I have been sitting on the second landing of the staircase in my home, staring at a space between two steps that lead upstairs. Everything is in its right place. I feel sad. But my mind feels warm, supported, and unburdened. I am safe. This place is as true as any other. Everything is here. Everyone is…
Two scenarios - a personal one and a professional one, to understand this superpower. Personal Life - think of your latest argument with anyone. Reflect on what led to this being so chaotic in the first place? A core reason might simply be the sheer aggression and need to get your point across. When both the actors in…
A student made a comment in class about "planting the bomb." His teacher asked what he meant, to which he responded by making fart noises. The teacher reported him to admin, admin called the police, and the police hauled the boy off and detained him for making a bomb threat at school. This is a real story from a…
Often most of our earlier memories in our lives are associated with a particular sound. It is how we recognize many things in our life like the sound of raindrops falling over a rooftop, the sound of an ice cream truck that is right around the corner, the sound of a bell rung at the end of the class, or the sound of…
It's used to justify atrocities, it's used to discriminate, it's used to oppress and most importantly it is used to squash debate on critical topics. The very opportunity to improve a good endeavour can be shut down by using the "making the world better" card. They key is not whether it is making the world better or…
Anything you could achieve can be seen when you’re young When your SOLE and ONLY purpose is the grades inside your REPORT CARD When the only thing you’ve wanted is really just to get good grades And you didn’t work hard & you knew you didn’t study that much And you got bad grades with Cheehou (that was the dream…
In the last few days, I've spoken to many intelligent people about AI, the future, and how our world will change. These conversations have intensified my realization of the extreme transformation we are experiencing. Every answer we find raises three new questions. It’s getting faster and faster, more and more complex…
A movie is like a person. Not everyone likes any one person. Not everyone understands that person. But there are always people who love that person despite all his inherent flaws and understands why he is the way he is and accept it all. That is enough for that one person.
Hello out there !!! Exploring this blogger site, so far good. Simple, yet sufficient space for sharing the thoughts. Checking out the already available bloggers, still didn't find any blog to my like. Will continue. Let's see how far this journey goes.... Have fun, ❤️
A thought on editing and proofreading, especially of your own writing. Most people, other than diehard digital evangelists, agree that reviewing a print out helps correct errors and make improvements that you might not have spotted on the screen. This sits alongside the idea, supported by research (see the article…
reading Holzfällen after reading "the Novelist" by Jordan Castro is a special experience. it is like the same book.
A good quote seen today: “You can’t go back and change the past But you can start today and change the ending” You’re kind, But just not daring and brave enough You could be more achievable If you’re more daring to think through Not stuck into some thoughts by thinking: I don’t think you can
I'm sitting here in Rome, within spitting distance from the Arch of Titus, which commemorates the sacking of Jerusalem two thousand years ago. I'm sitting here, as a Jew, thinking to myself, well, they must've really thought something of the Jews then, to have built themselves an arch commemorating the destruction of…
To look back at this year, I need to go back further, starting with 2007. I have a tainted memory of a late night wrestling with my thoughts, I seem to remember thinking to myself that I was insulated from the worlds problems because I live in the UK. A few months later, I witnessed a global financial meltdown and the…
I went to dinner with a group of strangers. After each course, I was paired with someone new. I met three interesting people. There was a stack of conversational cues on the table if we didn't know what to talk about. We were allowed talk about anything we want, except what we do. This wasn't about dating. That's not…
party slut my friend and i were walking on venice beach and two guys came up to us and they were like what do you do and i'm like i'm a piano teacher and they were like holy shit we're musicians too and they showed us their music and it was legit good and i showed them my chopin nocturne op 9 no 1 and they were like…
i have been continuing a visual style for over a year now, developing it further with each iteration. the world of narcissus; a delicate focus around oneself and their desires. what defines this world? the context to the world is irrelevant so it is not present in many creations. the water expanding to the horizon…
How do my daily actions respond this question? What I have done this week: - Worked until late the past weeks. - Spent 2 hours thinking what did we miss? What questions to we need to ask. With these actions I am getting better at: - Managing a project that I will never get credit for - At getting a "good job" "good…
ahh reflecting on the most recent photographs from James Webb Space Telescope published by NASA provides a unique sense of scale to our existence. we are so small! but there is one thing that may be more expansive that our universe. the collective creativity of humanity is forever expanding at an increasing pace. i…
I'd rather be alone on a passing cloud than a lonely man in bustling crowd. We often exist in the complete freedom of a lonely life.
I do like the restraint. I do enjoy the anonymity. I do love writing. Think I’ll stay and play a while.
Eu tô tomando duloxetina pra dor crônica. E, sim. "Eu…
AHH. There are many objects in the world. this makes me wonder how do i decide on what are the things that i desire? i thought long about the answer; it must speak with me. i find the following quote very true "As soon as you put on one garment, it speaks to your personality" by Virgil Abloh. objects may seem…
Every time I need to tweak something on my work mac, I'm irked by the title of the settings pane. What every computer interface has referred to as "settings", Apple chose to rename "preferences". Settings implies a certain relationship between us and our tools. You set the fuel / air mixture of a carburetor for…
Now that PaLM 2 is going to run a GPT4ish model on my Pixel, I wonder if there's the same need for a bulky laptop. I mean, I can code with Replit. I can use ChatGPT from my phone and that will have a code interpreter released broadly soon, along with a diverse ecosystem of plugins that enable web browsing, reading up…
Tomorrow I have - hopefully - the last university exam of my life. I'm glad. What a stupid way to assess a person's abilities.
A Matriarch born in 1908 in present day Pakistan has left a wonderful legacy, four generations ahead. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of staying true to her legacy. From her Son (84 years), her grand daugters (in their 50s and 60s), her great grand daughters (40s and 50s) and great great grand children (from…
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi says flow is the secret to happiness. I agree. Not just because we were born in the same city (but not in the same country — Europe is fun like that sometimes). I feel great when I achieve a state of flow. There’s no self-doubt or bad ideas. Creative juices are flowing, and I lose my sense of…
It’s an intellectual behaviour of knowing how to continue the conversation & joke Speaking to K - or asking for something: is also a skill Should say G is a very talented guy, very hardworking - say some praise word before bringing it up. This is the world of persuasion and business You can’t just ask and give. You…
I’ve often prided myself for having “realistic expectations” but the truth is my expectations are so high that no one ever meets making me auto closed off in relationships. Been closed off aka pessimism has been masquerading as “realistic expectations” for long enough. I’m embracing a new and simple approach. The act…
要怎么成大事? You need to keep a habit of doing everything small correct and nicely; Else you’ll just reward yourself for being as you should: like being on time, went to the gym, don’t keep yourself too harsh but don’t keep yourself too loose & without control and discipline. “The most free people are the ones who control…
Teachers. Parents. Friends or colleagues But the one that can teach you is experiences Your own experiences and mistakes So never feel like you’ll not where you meant to be - you are! Use time wisely and explore else you’ll miss out the opportunities Of just being yourself And feeling confident Anxiety - everyone…
Most schools, at least the kind I went to too, are pointless and do more harm than good. People spend about 15 years of their life in schools. During this period, I feel they loose creativity and curiosity. They are taught to compete with peers and learn that failing is a bad thing. They are taught things which are…
Sunil Gopal made me a runner. We met in the early days of college, probably introduced by a common friend. He was India Junior No.1 in squash (and had played Jansher Khan), an established runner and had built some pretty darn good amateur loudspeakers in boarding school. I was a middling cricketer, an accidental…
Pari hey. Let’s be real. Are you feeling bad that Shivani is dating Nelson? And if so, why? I think yes, I am. And maybe it’s because I’m feeling like her liking nelson enough to date him is like her taking his side? This person, whom I carry so much grudge and dislike and disrespect for, my own best friend (Who I was…
Hoje é o dia do Leitor. Felizes de nós que pegamos gosto pela leitura desde cedo, e assim tivemos acesso a um milhão de mundos, a inúmeras vidas. Podemos viver pela leitura situações que torcemos para nunca encontrar na vida real. Morremos mil vezes, amamos, sofremos, exploramos mundos, enfrentamos nossos medos,…
We hadn't formally launched Trilegal yet when my friend Vinay, who was with a law firm in London, called. It was early March 2000. Him: "Have you guys opened for business yet?" Me: "Why do you ask?" Him: "Because I have a deal for you." Me, struggling to hide excitement: "Well yes, then we're open." This was a…
While visiting Copenhagen, she asked a local man how one finds parking. The man explained the process: write the time of arrival on a sheet of paper, place it against the window facing outwards, and that way the the attendant will know that you haven't overstayed your allotted time. "But what if I just write a time…
