Gathering thoughts…
A world of little thoughts.
Aĥĥ there is joy to find in thinking about how others create. their process, their thoughts, their ethos. some i can see clearly, while others make me wonder more. it is the latter who interest me most because whatever they create next, it will communicate another hint into how they create...
Okay, some more thinking. Maybe I can relate now with what Nelson went through when I started dating Musti. He said he found it mean that I was being so lovey dovey in front of him. That I was doing things and showing affection for musti that I never showed Nelson and that he always craved. Perhaps I’m going to feel…
To stay in a 9-5: too slow to get the money! The success of anything links heavily to your xintai “Do they still call 23 young?” If there is one book I would want to take a deep read on Is how to converse with people Because any guy can be an expertise in a field But not many can be a bridge to link products with the…
If you're building anything that involves AI, then you have to know about the bitter lesson. The bitter lesson is an article by Rich Sutton from March 13, 2019. This sounds like ancient AI lore but is only six years old. Rich Sutton, a pioneer of reinforcement learning and a Turing Award winner, wrote a short essay…
Yesterday was another day with no electricity, no internet, or cellular service. We couldn't check messages, browse Instagram, or watch TV. I read a book and went to bed at 9 pm. It made me think about how much more time we would have if we didn't have all these forms of digital entertainment. I didn’t feel like I…
Gives me perspectives on How you always work so hard for someone And you gotta be fearless & understand you don’t have any thing that drags you down E: if you don’t love the girl or the guy, it’s okay to let it go - and if you’re on the other side Understand that it’s okay & let it go Kinda in your situation now Just…
Do you know how to fight against the wave? 1, Rationalize your feelings. Every time you feel something, you tell yourself, "It's not that bad, I don’t have it so bad." This way, you don't acknowledge them, and a part of you feels unheard. 2, Do everything you can to get rid of it. Meditation, yoga, dance, journaling.…
Today has been one of the longest Sundays I’ve ever had in a while. Akriti Didi came down with her husband Bhargav. Had so much fun just talking to her and him, and generally enjoying the family talk. Early morning I helped sort things out and welcome them. Then after breakfast, had an amazing sleep. Then we went out…
For the longest time, infinity seemed like a magical and rather useless concept. If anything, it was some object that was larger than everything else. It was a way to win arguments as a kid. If you ever found yourself in a shouting match, all you needed to do was state your position once more followed by the magic…
the act of cooking alone fills my appetite, I guess I'd been picturing eating it so much that I got full is this true also of sex and love? that the thought of sex fills you such that you have no more room for love? i made tom yum soup and realized that the secret is a ton of lime juice this is the "essence" of tom…
Hello Everybody 👋, I am Shubham and I am new to this new platform and with its first impression, I loved the look and feel of it ! I have always liked nicheless blogging because when you are interested in lot of things and want to say a lot we spend more time categorizing rather than actually telling the story. Going…
Ahhhh ⤴️ the ideas of a physical world are being mediated by images for a digital world. how about reflecting on the digital world through written conceptual ideas?
I. Humans began their story on this Earth as brutish, violent, tribal knuckle-draggers, barely distinguishable from their ape relatives. Over thousands of years of gradual genetic and cultural evolution, humanity has marched through history to achieve progressively more peaceful and prosperous societies. We're slowly…
When you start a journaling habit, journal in the morning. Journaling anchors your day for what's to come. Clarify what's on your mind. Identify your priorities for the day. Write gratitude and/or a sentence of intent. Do you have a mantra? Write it in your journal first thing in the morning. Maybe you have specific…
6. talk to the trees. their plant matter is tens of thousands of years old and harbors a wisdom that often goes unnoticed. seek out the hidden messages in the sound of their rustling leaves and the intricate patterns of their bark. hold hands with their branches and allow their roots to help ground you. 7. in moments…
There are times and topics that make me want to lay in the middle of the floor and stay there until... who knows. I have yet to take that option. Yesterday at a mental health facility a patient opened the door to his balcony, looked down, turned around, and laid down in the middle of the hallway until someone came and…
It began back in early march of 2024. I'd just returned from my birthday trip to Iceland. My partner at the time, recently unemployed had come along for the trip. I'd already felt some resentment from having to pay for everything on my own birthday trip, though the trip was my idea, so this wasn't justified. Upon…
I have always wanted to build a writing habit for the longest time. However a combination of imposter syndrome, unavailability of time, not prioritising writing and fear of my bad content stopped me. A major factor was also the world around me which shared their writing on social media. I was even afraid to create a…
There are two categories of approaches for apprehending the world: rational and empirical. Rationalists have a cognitive bias towards thinking in terms of models, systems, and logical consequences. As a result, they tend to develop models of reality based on a limited set of direct sense data and then try to impose…
So far so good I suppose, I'm comparing this experience to my micro.blog experience. The "write post" editor is not quite up to my standards and could use some improvement but it works very well. It feels like I'm writing in notepad, and I hate writing in notepad. Maybe I'll come back here and update my post with more…
Ever found your self doing something out of habit without you ever noticing? The (not so) humble android OS was designed to run on any device - from simple toasters to sophisticated devices having more computational capacity than the rocket that landed us on the moon. Part of this robustness is due to the multi…
The mundane daily motions of life often happen without much thought to the big picture of life. The thought lurks in the background, but is generally entangled and lost in the mental haze of daily grind. Important takes the back seat, to cede to urgent. Whatever remains of the time when you aren't working and aren't…
During my meditation practice today, I had a realization that has left me feeling both elated and bewildered. For the first time, I understood that the boundary between myself and the external world may not actually exist. In our everyday lives, we tend to view the world as something separate from ourselves. We see…
Something I have learnt about myself. I was always confused about why I was an F in MBTI. I thought I was through and through T. I overthink all the time, don’t I? But I now realise that I’m very dependent on my feelings, and they really dictate my life. For example, I can think something, it can make a lot of…
Therein lies comfort in the anguish of avoiding one’s true potential. Some of the most destructive lies we tell are told in silence—in the vastness of our own minds, where the stage is set and the seats are filled by a public of one. There, beneath the noise, we rehearse our excuses like monologues, perfect our…
Is a mix of competency and warmth. Find the balance - you can’t be too friendly but don’t know anything at the same time. To have charisma you need competent And you need to radiate out with the right amount of body & language works (way of converse, thoughts, vocabs - language is the best way to exhibit & market…
You’ve come a long way, GMT. A little more than a hundred years ago, a stevedore on a ship going from the south of China to the Philippines flicked you over to a young man to help his even younger bride with her seasickness as they made their way to their new life in an unknown land. Half a century ago, you mopped the…
In my dream I was suddenly transported back to a very specific moment in high school: it was on a Saturday during the lunch break at my drawing class all the way on the opposite end of the city. The noodles I slurped from that 24hr Lawson were chewy, but that wasn’t where my attention lay. I was ecstatic about dating…
Endlessly offering my shoulder for you to lean and cry on, but you always reject it. Endlessly prioritizing you, instead you chose to ignore me. Endlessly understanding you, but you chose to see me as an inconvenience. Endlessly giving you my love, even if I don't get anything in return.
Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of HackerNews and listening to what others are doing. To the extent that one would feel overwhelmed by information and developing a “what if my attempt is not as good as what I read about?” complex. I resolve to jump out of the mental flywheel and have fun learning one thing with focus…
condition1 ? (condition2 ? option1 : option2) : option3 I like the conciseness of them. They are easy for me to read and reason about in the moment. They are not easy to reason about in 2 months time when I encounter it again. Its why I prefer some verboseness to ease and help future me if condition1 return condition2…
Imagine if technology treated our attention as sacred rather than a resource to extract. Imagine if technology was accountable to those affected by it rather than to those who profit from it. Imagine if technology helped us make better choices rather than incubating helplessness in the face of catastrophe. Imagine…
In 30 min more I'm going to a volleyball training, I know no one, I have realized that if a know someone even if I know them only online, not even in person, I have no anxiety when going to social gatherings. When I don't no anyone at all its a completely different story, I start to question if I should go or not, my…
On our first official full day in Finland I realized how lucky I am to have experienced so many cultures and seen so many different countries/continents. My mom couldn't stop stopping at every single corner to take pictures about the silliest things (in my opinion), for example, being surprised at how blue the sky…
Let me first explain describe the situation - I have plans and things I want to do, they are not that hard to do but for some reason, I just cannot take the first step. Laziness, procrastination, being too comfortable, lack of desire of doing the thing that I thought I wanted, burnout, lack of discipline - the actual…
I prefer packing last minute. It has helped me pack better and not forget the essential items. But this preference is in stark contrast with that of my parents. My mum packs about 2-3 days in advance, and my dad at least the day prior. My preference started changing when I began traveling without my parents. At first,…
So many excuses to not create. I need to take a leap of faith. Pounce onto the challenge with hunger. To act with conviction, not just ponder.
Harry glanced at the monk and sighed, "Guess that makes me the fool. No one in their right mind would say they don't enjoy driving a Lexus." In moments when my rational mind has exhausted all possible avenues to reach a conclusion using scientific methods, I find solace in turning to philosophy. One fine morning,…
Some need coffee to stay awake daily. Some don't. And some like me, can drink coffee and stay awake, yet quit and not feel sleepy. However, recently, when I go back to drinking coffee, I find my naps light and shallow and my sleep at night disturbed. They are just not as deep as not drinking coffee. So a thought just…
There’s some power that you can’t be seen Discipline Trust Vision Knowledge All these are not superficial All powerful things are not visible. Not in clubs Not in monetary terms Used to feel so weak or anxious Because I didn’t practice discipline which would make me strong Some people consider music as power…
There's a lot to learn from watching an ice skating class. Let me paint a picture so you can imagine what I see. A big round ice rink with about 50 people with varying levels of skill. There some who skate as if this were the Olympics and there others who resemble penguins trying to maintain their balance. You have…
Rarely as bad as one might think. Odd dream overnight: only frag I remember is opening up a box, and seeing 2 x insulated car coffee mugs, upside down & protected by styrofoam dividers. Big work project begun. Leery @ first, but once I started, stuff started coming together. Fair bit of work left to do, but initial…
"Everything you want is on the other side of cringe". I read that line somewhere on X, and it changed the way I judge my own actions. It's one of those rare sentences that illuminates a truth that has been experienced but not verbalized. I love those sentences. Anyway, I digress. Cringe is an emotional barrier that…
