Focus on one thing
I've been seeing a few founders lately that already have 3 or even 4 projects and working on them simultaneously.
Even if they operate under the same brand, to me this is a red flag.
It's already really hard to build one really good brand/project, imagine if you have to build multiple at the same time?
The common counter to when I say this is that "some founders are able to do this" and "it's good to diversify as a company".
For the first counter, I'd say that's probably true, but I'd also assume that 90% of the founders are NOT able to do that and that the founders (ex: Elon Musk) are more the exception that makes the rule valid.
For the second counter, I'd agree — but only after the brand/project has initially found product market fit. To me this is as if Google started right away to build Gmail and Google Drive on top of also building the search engine all at the same time. The only reason they were able to build gmail and drive was because they already had successfully built their search engine to afford to branch out to other areas.
This is a rant, but the moral of the story is in the title: concentrate on doing one thing very well and you can move on to the next one.
