What makes it difficult to write?
Building a habit of daily writing is one of the things that many folks out there recommend.
Just the act of taking some time out and put stuff out in a physical or digital notepad is enough for the effects to start compounding.
For many, this would be okay. The issue lies on you eventually wanting to publish that out in the open.
Over the last 3 years or so, I've been convinced that writing online and posting your stuff out in the open is terribly useful.
Like I said previously, writing on your diary and writing on personal online blog are two completely different things.
Even if at first, they seem to be the same activity. You know... just... writing.
When you start doing something new and you want to get good at it. It's best to build a habit around it and stick it to things you're already doing it.
BUT. And this is the key part, you don't want to just write it something and save it on your computer.
I mean you totally can and if you use it as sort of a journal or to have the cathartic effect of having your thoughts looking at you from the paper or the screen... by all means do it.
What I'm talking about here is writing online.
And for me, one of the biggest sticking points is having a medium to write.
Yes, write daily, but if your medium doesn't allow for seamless thought to draft withing seconds. There's potential for the writing to not happen.
I think it helps that 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 medium doesn't let you beat around the bush.
But get specific with a hard limit of 300 words. No more.
Is that useful?
Is that desirable?
I don't know but we'll see how it fares.
