Slow and steady wins the race
I think that´s the feedback I've gathered over the last 4 months or so.
It's been mostly this year that I've been completely independent, working on my own, that I've seen it.
I've had some hits in the past. Some of like people around call "the 15 mins of fame". And had some peaks in certain occasions. But nothing really that stays and keeps on.
Besides my few small successes that have been like foam on a beer glass. I didn't build something that was thought to be longer lasting.
I made the mistake of trusting and following the advice of people who were not at the level I want to be. Heck, they we're my so called "friends" but I was much further ahead on the path of creation.
So, for several months I was like an "on/off" switch. Doing stuff, making good progress, building momentum, and then pshhhh... It would fizzle out and so I would have to pick it back up where I left and start over.
All that changed when I eventually realized that's okay to distance yourself and leave behind people who say they want to improve and move forward but don't do much for it.
Tough choice but it has brought me great results.
I'm no longer in that cycle of climbing the slope and then sliding back down. Over and over again.
Now, I have a new trajectory and real momentum. I'm now keeping consistent for much more days than I have previously.
I have to keep doing the work every day. Bit by bit. Resisting the novelty and the entertainment.
The process can be boring, but I've become a boring person.
A boring person that gets results.
Because in the end...
Results are all that matters.
