Living in the Sky
You imagine some futuristic tall pointy structures that go into the clouds, like the Sky Tower in the movie Oblivion [0]
But I realised recently that many of us, including myself, are already living in the sky.
Over the past few years, I lived in a house on the 33rd floor and worked in an office on the 5th. I spend most of my time between the two and occasionally find myself walking on the ground.
In some way that's already living and existing in the sky. I'm not sure there are many similar to me.
If you told someone 100 years ago that people would spend most of their day not on the ground but in the sky, they might not believed you and called it crazy. Even if they did believe you, they might not envisioned its current form.
I wonder what other "crazy" things we'll do in the years to come, many of which we won't even realise are as crazy as we first imagined.
