iPhone Slim or SE Plus (1)
If Apple does release a slimmer new iPhone, it will likely do so in 2025 as part of the iPhone 17 lineup, say reports from Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu and co-founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young (as reported by 9to5Mac). Kuo, Bloomberg and The Information have reported similar findings.
Rumours according to multiple source is iPhone Slim will be using Apple Modem, A18 or A19, Single Camera, and 6.6" Display.
And also iPhone Slim is suppose to be Ultra Premium due to its design. Rumours suggest it even starting at $1299.
And yet I have not seen anyone suggesting, why does it have to be premium, why can't it be iPhone SE Plus?
1st, Apple decide to use their Apple Modem in iPhone SE 4. I find it hard to believe they will also use the same Modem in an Ultra Premium model but not in their iPhone 17 Pro's.
And then Single Camera? Apple have spend the last 5+ years trying to educate us Pro Models essential is taking better Photos + some more. Unless this single Camera is better than all the three with zoom and ultra wide. I think this is even more challenging than making their own Modem.
And the Display Size. People just assume this is a new design because it is 6.6" as it does not fit into current or previous iPhone. But if we look at the iPhone SE4, using an iPhone 13 panel at 6.06". iPhone 14 increased to 6.12". The iPhone 13 didn't have a Plus Model, but the iPhone 14 Plus was 6.69". If you shrink the 14 Plus proportionally, you get ~6.6".
