Enshitfication: The world where everything goes to shit.

There are two pillars in an organisation or Business. Business and Products. With Four Combination

Good Business, Good Products: This is rare and mostly happens with smaller companies or Startup. Or Companies with Founder because they care.

Good Business, Bad Products: This is most big companies. Products dont sell anymore. They could make bad products continue to sell for longer than their career at that company.

Bad Business, Good Product: With no business mind sets products in itself dont create a sustainable business for the company to operate on. This most startup's failure mode.

Bad Business, Bad Products. When you have no idea how to run the business and your products doesn't even hold up in the first place. While I cant record straight off any example in tech industry, there are plenty of it in the Restaurant business.

Because having Bad Business with or without good products will lead to failure, while having bad products with Good Business does not. ( As in a monopoly market ), Business is crucial. And many advice would say having a good sales person goes a long way.

Which is why enshitification happens. Product People dont make decisions. It is the phase Steve Jobs describe, the sales and marketing end up running the company.
