Generations of Computing Technology

1.0 could be mainframe and network computers, before the start of Personal Computer. That is 60 - 70s.

2.0 Is Personal Computer Era, DOS, Windows / Mac 80s to 90s.

3.0 Was Internet Era. 90s to ~ 2010.

4.0 Was Smartphone, 2010s to 202x.

5.0 Is AI. 2023 to 2033?

Every Single generation made the previous generation more accessible, did not replacement it by complement it and grows to a much bigger market. If we think of Mainframes as Server model, which continues to live on as Cloud. ( It is a stretch but the mental model is the same )

And every single one of those brings new business opportunities not only inside the Tech Sector but other industries.

I also see AI being able to automate and replace some programmers, or specifically Low Code Tools. It could allow a user to train their own model for repetitive task and learn from it. Without using any code or Low Code Tools.
