Disconnect to recharge
Every once in a while, it's good to make a break from the traditional routine.
This is outside of the normal breaks that one should have during the day or the different activities done in the weekend.
Those are fine and work well but there's need for something more drastic sometimes.
Changing the routine, changing the environment, and changing the activities done.
Some people do hiking, others go camping for a couple of days, and others have the opportunity to go to the countryside and stay in their own houses.
There are benefits and downsides to the both the city and the countryside.
That's why keeping the balance between the two is key not only for productivity and business but also for health and wellbeing.
For me, I've been always more a city kind of guy.
But recent events that have happened in the world over the last few years...
Not only have made me rethink that approach but also made me more aware and more appreciative of the countryside and its benefits.
Now, whenever I can and whenever I feel I'm starting to grind a little too much in work and what I have to do.
I take the opportunity to go to the countryside. To my small "farm" or "estate" there.
That is only on the weekends because that time is more suited to rest and recovery. In those days the focus and the mood is a different one.
Weekdays is "work mode".
Weekends is "rest mode and reflect/prepare/reassess mode"
And so...
That's what I'm going to do.
Catch you all next week.
Signing off.
