Convergence

There's some quote out there which says that things which converge will diverge and vice versa. I feel we humans are in a divergent phase today. You can see signs of it all around - rise of nationalism in countries like US, India, UK, high tensions between superpowers like the US and China, outright war in Ukraine - the list goes on.

However, this phase of divergence was preceded with a time of convergence brought about by technology. Globalisation and the internet connected the world in a new way and we did see a phase of convergence for a couple of decades.

And so as we wade through this phase of divergence, I feel that we'll soon enter into a new phase of convergence and you can already see the "magnets" that will bring us all together - Cryptocurrency and Space are 2 of them

One of the many goals of Crypto is to build a decentralised global financial system. Today superpowers compete with each other using their currencies and build armies to back those currencies, and the result of those battles don't benefit the average human. High inflation is a problem which we don't talk much about, but it should be dealt with as seriously as war. An inequitable society doesn't' remain peaceful for long.

As more of us explore the universe and experience its vastness, we will realise how insignificant we are. The borders we draw between countries won't we visible when we view the Earth from space. Landing on Mars and seeing the endless expanse of lifeless terrain will make us appreciate what we have here on Earth.

I believe all this will usher a new phase of convergence for the human race. We've come a long way from being apes, and we have a long way to go.
