nicheless. less niche. more truth.
As writers, we long to express (our) thoughts and be heard.
In today's climate, we castrate authenticity from artists willing to push (against) the global consensus.
Luckily, those daring enough, regardless of the consequences — barge through any boundaries that are societally placed within (our) psyches.
I adore the idea of writing freely. I have an infatuation for the idea of freedom. The freedom to bleed words as I please, with my fingertips guiding the colors to create masterpieces (in short pieces).
I've never allowed myself to be categorized as a certain type of writer: whether that's a poet, music reviewer, journalist, critic, songwriter, etc. I've continued to push creative boundaries within myself and keep readers anticipating my next move.
The goal is truth — to challenge preconceived notions of the masses and present to them a new worldview that they've been blind to (regardless of their feelings).
Poets, who see the ungrammatical of the present and the beauty of the future, are the real psychics.
For veracity, we're hated in the present and revered as geniuses in the future.
The world seeks to confine you within a box, it's how they "understand" you.
We want (have?) to take our extensively complex lives and create a cohesive narrative to satisfy the palette of those without taste.
As if we didn't die and get put underground in a box for eternity.
If truth is what "burns the books" than I'd rather burn with them. After what I earn is passed down and my urn is placed on a mantel as a trophy representing the courageous.
The ever-expanding nature of the universe is much like the creativity of an artist.
Boundless souls aiming to be bound (to a book) for future consumption of generations.
I, myself, strive to be nicheless.
