Now I am 43 -- back to writing about nothing
It's been 12 days since my last writing exercise and it hasn't been time misspent. I and the wife went down to Jamaica to the South Coast Sandals resort which was all inclusive and absolutely awesome. Lots of night time eating, sushi all day, and i even learned to sail. I was really sad to see the state of affairs in Jamaica. When I came back I learned that Jamaica has had effectively no growth since WW2 and is the #2 country for a brain drain.
-- You know what is really difficult is for me to write hear with out backspacing. I am getting just very very stressed out looking at all the grammatical errors in the writing and then not correcting them which is something that I just need to let go of. The first draft should be done as quickly as possible and then I can go through and change the wording around, but all of these mistakes are making my skin crawl. --
Jamaica was great: the same 12 Bob Marley songs on all day long. I learned to sail. I went out every morning on an 10 foot catamaran with the wife. Two minutes with a nice gust of wind at our back we were able to see the entire coast line. It was a great time. When we came back, we were told that our kids had been decent the first half of the week and then somewhat rotten the other half. Back to reality I suppose. I hope my mother, who watched them will be willing to do it again. Anyway this post went nowhere but I need to get editing before I lose my nerve. I need to cope with not correcting in-place. It's much faster to write with errors and then edit.
