Breathing through my nose is difficult.
Week two of the new routine and its going pretty well, but there are a number of hangups that I am having trouble with.
The first thing is that I had a cigar last night and ended up staying up until 1AM which pushed my wake up to 8:30AM, which in turn, pushed everything else out. I have yet to do my piano and Spanish speaking and I am uncertain that I can get to both tonight.
The other thing is that breathing through my nose is not nearly as easy as I thought it would be. I put the tape over my mouth before bedtime I keep waking up with heavy breathing. I roll over or sleep on my side and all the sudden my nose doesn't breathe as well as it should. It's unsettling.
On the flip side, I have continued to do my box breathing: 10 seconds in, hold 10 seconds, 10 seconds out, hold 10 seconds. This for two minutes. Not nearly as easy as it sounds.
Not editing these blog entries while I write is getting a little easier.
Lastly, I was at a conference this passed weekend and there were some Spanish speakers or espanol habladores as you might say. I could understand a lot of what they were saying. I still have a long long long way to go but it was pretty fantastic understanding a lot of what they were saying before the interpreter did their thing. I had the opportunity to talk to some of the spanish speakers; it's apparent that while the present tense verbs are useful, i need to absolutely expand my noun vocabulary. unless i want to talk about cars, meat, and software.
Anyway, I am going to continue to wake up early and hit the Peloton.
