I'm discovering that when hardship strikes, it's tempting to wallow in self-doubt, but it’s more rewarding to put in the effort to prevail. Don't get me wrong, feelings are important but in the long run if your feelings keep you stagnant - then it's time to activate your will and fight for the outcomes you truly…
We all want, so badly, to be loved unconditionally but we struggle to live with the ambivalence of adult love. Adult love starts off wild and intense; strong and stubborn like a mule. But with time, it weakens; eroded by the little things. It falters in the face of unmet expectations, flounders as our outcomes…
I have always wanted to build a writing habit for the longest time. However a combination of imposter syndrome, unavailability of time, not prioritising writing and fear of my bad content stopped me. A major factor was also the world around me which shared their writing on social media. I was even afraid to create a…
I started out with a writing goal of everyday and I literally forgot the very next day to write a post :( Nevertheless, I'm convincing myself that writing is a skill to be learnt and it happens slowly. So I'm trying not to be hard on myself. Today I want to write about something which I have struggling with this in…
How often in my life I have not taken the time to process my feelings. I know how to work hard and achieve success but I forget to celebrate with a period of rest and restoration. How many times in my life I have ran from one thing to the next without fully absorbing the monumental endeavors that I have achieved. The…
I'm someone who feels FOMO not about the parties I'm not going to but about the things I'm not doing, the hobbies I haven't tried out, the books on my TBR/ I'm someone who feels sick in the stomach just thinking about conflict, and would do anything to not feel that way/ I'm someone who's on cloud 9 when I find an…

I'm no more on a streak. Couldn't write yesterday. Nevertheless, the 30-essay series still continues. Today I am writing about productivity - a topic that is beaten to death a million times, every day, day after day. Well, this one is a different. I'm not selling a "I-know-it-all-shoving-it-down-your-throat"…
Hello World. There's a few areas in my life that I'd like to grow and evolve. Recently, I've been on a personal development journey on and off for the past two years. I happened to find this site on Twitter a few days ago and I was intrigued. In this chapter of my life, I would like to document my journey along the…
Lately, I have been listening to podcasts again after I'd been abstinent for almost a year. Right now, that's helping me with two things: 1. Healthy dosing of news Over the last couple of years, I had ran into the trap of news on social media. That included on only doomscrolling the news feed itself while not actually…
Have you ever thought that creating the life of your dreams was a never-ending process with little to no payoff? It's tempting to look at the facts and conclude that nothing is changing, but what if the apparent lack of change was a test? What if going through dry spells helped you develop the character you needed to…
Day-3 of my 30 day atomic essay streak. In essay-2, I wrote about the concept of mindful repetition. Quick recap: It's a repetition of a simple actions that moves a system towards stability and makes it sophisticated with time. This sits very well with personal habit formation a.k.a building daily life systems (DLS).…
Two scenarios - a personal one and a professional one, to understand this superpower. Personal Life - think of your latest argument with anyone. Reflect on what led to this being so chaotic in the first place? A core reason might simply be the sheer aggression and need to get your point across. When both the actors in…
