Your Freedom to Choose Makes Your Choice Easier
It snowed today.
During the school year, snow means the possibility of a snow day or at least a late start.
Snow falls so softly, blanketing the ground in silence. My desire to stay inside to enjoy the scenery from the shelter of a warm home is strong. If I were many years younger I would want to run out to be the first to make prints in the pristine whiteness and build a snowman.
This was the first snow of the winter making the desire stronger.
This is my day to volunteer at school.
If I were required to be at school as an employee or student, I would be wishing for a snow day.
Since I’m retired, I choose to go as a volunteer. I love the atmosphere and the opportunity to help.
No longer required to go to school, I had no problem wanting to go.
It wasn’t enough snow to disrupt transportation for the students. No snow day. No late start.
I was OK with that.
It’s funny how the freedom to choose makes the choice easier.
