When nature speaks....
Random Thursday afternoons in urban India have the ability to present themselves with a beautiful surprise, where nature comes forth in it's most wondrous form. Bright golden yellow flowers growing wild on a Yellow Bell bush. Where it then becomes a place to attract a set of bees going about their busy work!
Or sunset on a Saturday. The candles are lit, the playlist has Norah Jones and Prateek Kuhad, a gorgeous glass of cabernet has been poured. And then with no warning, this incredible cobalt blue sky appears, enough to make one gasp and be so grateful for the ability to capture this moment.
Many of us seek out nature and God's wonders. Some of us look for it by the ocean, in the mountains, forests or in complete wilderness. I am partial to the sea and have spent many afternoons sitting by the water and watched the waves gently hug the shore before going back into the endless expanse. Or a moonless night, where the water and sky merges into one deep black, and the only thing one is able to capture is the sound of the gentle lashing of the waves.
More than five decades on this planet and it's only in recent years that I've let my intuition and sixth sense guide me. Working with an ace feng shui practitioner, I've become a firm believer of energies in a room, house or space. The 20 something year old me was dismissive when someone even obliquely referred to a space that was uplifting or the opposite - i.e. made one feel sad and low.
In a world full of distractions, the positive energies in my space have helped me heal, have inspired me and helped me grow. It speaks to my soul directly. Absolutely priceless.
