Use Your Journal to Celebrate the Small and Have Big Results
"Act the way you'd like to be and soon you'll be the way you act." -Leonard Cohen
I can’t agree more.
Journaling small gratitude brought more gratitude into my life.
Writing about the small steps and wins brought more positives.
Small gratitudes and positives became easier to identify. My journaling both became a vehicle for a positive, happy mindset. Your mindset leads you to be the person you want to be.
Think it. Act it. Journaling starts a domino effect.
I prepare my journal with the heading Happiness and Good (good is something I do for someone else). Each night, I journal what made me happy and the good thing(s) I did.
I have a routine life. I’m not referring to the routines I’ve established. I’m talking about the average, sometimes mundane, daily existence.
With practice, finding small happiness and good becomes easy.
Last night, for happiness, I wrote, “Cleaned the spare bedroom.” And for good, I wrote, “Saw T. and remembered to ask about her granddaughter’s birthday.”
Nothing earth-shattering there, but they put a smile on my face.
I don't just act happy. I am happy.
