Use 3 Journaling Strategies to Prepare for a Productive Day
Journaling has many benefits.
One benefit you may not hear others talk about as much is increased productivity.
My morning journaling session prepares me for a productive day.
I use these three strategies.
- Set priorities. I write at least one sentence for each priority task. I simply write what I plan to do. I may add a reason why I will do it.
I’m calling the school today to check on the volunteer sign-up sheet. Once I have access, I won’t need to do it for another year.
- I write a reminder to be present in tasks I choose to do. This puts me in the mindset to stay focused. The sentence is as straightforward as:
I need to be present and stay focused on tasks I choose to do. Avoiding distractions will help me get the job done.
- I write affirmations, especially for the long-term goals and tasks I struggle to complete. Exercise and diet are often on my affirmations list.
I can make the right food choices. I feel much better, and I’m in less pain with daily stretching.
Use journaling to set your day for success.
Feeling productive is something to celebrate.
Your journal is great for acknowledging your accomplishments and pushing yourself toward new goals.
