Upskilling and whyy!!

I look around and wonder, how many of us really upskill our selves for the whole sake of upskilling Or learning a new subject or a topic?

Most of us are busy doing the same mundane job everyday, without even thinking what use is this to me and what value I am adding to my life with this job. We are all here just for the money and nothing more. We have become the robots who have to get out of the house, do some mundane things and then at the end of the month wait for the salary money to fall in our bank accounts. Beyond this there is no purpose in life. Take loans, pay them with the salary and for the salary work like a donkey all the time.

Have we ever looked at exploring something out of our daily routine. Naaah we first look at the course fee, then look at the placements it gave or the jump in salary it brought and will then do permutations n combinations with some paralysis of analysis to do the course. We would not think twice to spend on partying at a high end place, but then to upskill we feel it's waste of money and time.
I have always been upskilling always and I get asked why do you enrol in so many courses. My only justification is that it broadens my horizon. I may not be a millionaire by cash, but I have the happiness of getting lost in my own thoughts and mad world. This would have not been possible if I had not been upskilling and reading various books.

I always tell people to learn something new which would not be of use in their work and see how it changes them. Keep exploring always.
