Unstructured Work
Unstructured work is under appreciated. It's the kind of work you do when there are unknown unknowns. Or when you're searching for a solution that might exist, but you don't know where to look. Or the work you do in pursuit of perfection, which can never be recognised, except in its absence.
The process can be unpredictable, challenging, and frustrating. It almost always is. But it doesn't look like that from the outside.
To an observer, it often looks like a waste of time.
Tangible results aren't always visible after each work session. To someone outside the arena, it may seem as if nothing is being accomplished.
In reality, the mind is hard at work. Sometimes chasing solutions. And sometimes waiting for solutions to arrive.
